Who do you serve?

The comments, so far, do not speak to this "bad news" challenge. Responses are mainly within the "three monkeys" syndrome or just side-step the question of "structural evil".

There is such a thing as "spirit without conscience". It is manipulating good people to turn away from the realities of life on earth, here and now. Naming, Unmasking and Engaging the Powers (see the Trilogy by Walter Wink on the nature of structural evil) is the spiritual task. Else we let evil flourish in our world.

"Chill out"... "lighten up"... Could one say that while facing someone in the many horrible trouble-spots of the world?

This is disturbing. But that is the least one can do --- feel disturbed, at least occasionally.

"Spiritual" is not only good.

Love is to become aware of how the economic system makes one steal from one's neighbour.

My friend, you talk about new hitlers, Bin ladens and Bush's in the making, yet you neglect to realize that there are 2 sides to the coin. There is always duality in our world. Just as those reflections of society are being groomed through there life experience, there are also new Jesus', Buddhas, Mohammad's, Gandhis, MLKs, JFK's & Dalai Lamas not only arriving but here already. Look at Katt, I will tell you from where I am sitting she is Love incarnate, she is one of these great people who initiates change in others just by simply being herself. We are surrounded by them in this world you must find them and allow yourself to resonate and grow.
