Hi.
Since I started reading about enlightenment and talking to some people about it, I keep hearing this: "Everything is within you, you have just forgotten it."
It frustrates me a bit to think we are born in to this world but can't remember a thing.
Why would anyone do that to us? Does it mean we live and then get awakened bit by bit "to remember"? And then - REMEMBER WHAT?? Can someone in here tell me just one thing which was forgotten and has now been remembered?
I have been on a path for some time now and it's like a puzzle in my mind forming into a map. It's not from remembering, it's from learning and seeing the world and our lives in a different way, connecting like the internet connects the world wide web. A bigger picture.
Is it all ready there in me? Just waiting to be explored, to be remembered? Or is it a complete different thing people talk about when they tell me to remember?
Please tell ! =) and have a lovely day!!!

forgetting happens in the head
the rest of our form, on the one hand every single cell and and on the other hand each vibration of light, that we are, remembers it all.
i am delighted by peoples easy ability to allow trance, then allow past life recollections, indeed even accoding to a particular current life issue. ( ie issue in this life...now go back to the experiences that are most important to you to understatnd this current issue...and we can and do do that)
...also i get people to get the feeling that opppresses them then " go back to the first time you ever felt this feeling in this life NOW"....and they do.....perfect memory of anywhere from womb to current( though mostly pre 7 years old)
when i help people relax i teach/invite them to remember rather than to ( re) learn

I believe that as Children we are born naturally adept and remembering everything... about who we are, why we came, what life is, knowing EVERYTHING.
its just that along the way we FORGOT OUR SELVES due to social conditioning/ brainwashing from our parents/culture/ schools...
our main job is to RE A MEM BER ;)
also i found this for you;
according to research done recently by the near death research centre,
the answers to your question are many on why we choose to forget:
(1)
To learn more effectively and faster due to the limitations that only a physical body can achieve.
(2)
To focus more on physical reality in order to better complete our missions in life so that we are not so heavenly minded we are no earthly good. If we retained all of our prior knowledge, we might not bother to experience the physical life for its fulfillment - we might decide to skip the pain and thus miss the pleasure.
(3)
To make decisions out of free will without being completely influenced by our higher knowledge. Any other way would be equivalent to a student being given the answers before taking a test. It is not a good way to learn.
(4)
To allow us to make mistakes out of free will for the purpose of learning and growing.
(5)
To appreciate, benefit, and learn all we can from our physical life by re-discovering what we knew before - now in physical ways. Through a physical life we must re-discover how to return to God. And it is not enough to re-discover these things, we must incorporate this knowledge into our daily activities. We must make an effort to remember and find that our true selves are spirit and our spirits are one with God.
(6)
To be able to succeed as a normal human beings to advance our spirits. If we retained all our pre-birth knowledge, we would seem abnormal to the rest of society.
(7)
To do everything humanly possible to fulfill our missions for humanity and God.
(8)
To make the most of the human experience for ourselves and God. We are spirit beings having a human experience. When we return to spirit, everyone benefits from our human experience.
(9)
To prevent unpleasant and harmful past-life memories from completely influencing our lives. Imagine having a past-life memory of being Adolf Hitler. Such a past-life memory would make it very difficult to function with these memories and would seriously impede the opportunities to correct the past-life mistake of being Hitler.
(10)
To help God create a human heaven on Earth which only humans can build with the help of the spirit of unconditional love.
