Live in "the moment."
Life is "now".
- are the two most commonly used phrases in spirituality blogs / discussion.
but what is their significance or real essence ?
Why so much of emphasis is lead on PRESENT ?
Carrying on with the luggage of the past, any thought of the past, shall cause grief and unhappiness, even if it appears to be cheerful -
" I had a great day yesterday" - message to the sub-conscious - What is present is not as great as yesterday - a reason feeding grief.
"I had a great meal yesterday " - implied message to the sub-conscious - What I am having now is not as great as what I had yesterday. - a reason feeding dissatisfaction.
So even cheerful memories from the past bring dissatisfaction and grief.
Similarly all anticipation (apprehension may be more appropriate) of the future causes FEAR - What if.................(whereas you have no control over it)
Thinking about past brings Grief and thinking of future causes Fear, but if you live in NOW there cannot be any fear or grief.
thought from the past - GRIEF
thinking about the future - FEAR
In NOW - no grief or fear.
JUST GIVE A SERIOUS THOUGHT and you may get rid of all grief and fear.

~why live in the moment?~ cause it's all we've got ... as an old saying goes: we should never allow our yesterday to use up too much of today. The past is gone and tomorrow is at best a maybe. Live for the moment because it may be all you'll ever have.
