The direction your head faces while sleeping has a strong effect on your physical and mental well-being. Head placement refers to the direction the top of your head points when lying down.
While some people may be skeptical of Feng Shui, it is an ancient Chinese system of aesthetics that uses the energy of the space and of the people and things in that space to encourage positive chi (energy) to flow. Quantum Physics is the study of matter and energy at molecular, atomic and nuclear levels that says everything, from a human to a flower, is made up of energy and is therefore influenced by other waves of energy.
With this method, people fit into one of two groups—the East Life or the West Life—, which is obtained from their year of birth. East Life people favor north, south, east and southeast directions for their bed, while the West Life group favors the opposite.
Feng Shui says east, but several mythologies also say north. Apparently the reasoning behind that is north is the direction of the element of Earth. If you sleep with your head grounded in the Earth direction you don't become "trapped" in dreamland. However Feng Shui stated clearly that one must only sleep facing north to avoid Insomnia. This is because the lines of energy in the planet move from North to South. Bali Hindus always lay facing north.
Based on this: YOUR BEST COMPASS DIRECTION: http://www.fengshuidiva.com/compass.html
The the Japanese art of arranging your home to promote good Chi.
Sleeping North: Strengthens physical health.
Sleeping South: Deepens sleep, elicits intuitive capabilities and enhances your capacity to remember dreams.
Sleeping East: Helps you wake up quickly and have more energy.
Sleeping West: Slows life down -- good for stressed adults or hyperactive kids”
According to American Navajo Indians also believed that you should never sleep facing North, as it was evil and only for dead people
It’s also appears that ancient Chinese sources including Confucius recommended head facing north with feet to the south while sleeping.
An ancient Indian source Vastu recommends the opposite. Vastu Shastra is the knowledge of physical environment and applies to elements in a dwelling, that work in harmony with nature, environ, cosmic and magnetic fields and planetary influences, which when used rightly are believed to lead to sound health, wealth and prosperity. In ancient times, Vastu was a popular science, which covered a broad arena of important fields like architecture, civil engineering, design, sculpture, temple, and building technology. It is a popular myth that Viswakarma, the greatest architect of Mahabharata times had designed and built Indraprastha (capital of the Pandavas) integrating the elements of Vaastu in the town layout.
Important Points About Sleeping Position:
The direction your head faces while sleeping has a strong effect on your physical and mental well-being. Head placement refers to the direction the top of your head points when lying down.
Head to South:
Benefits: Auspicious. The best position for sleeping is with the top of your head pointing to the south and feet pointing north - Brings health, industriousness and increased longevity.
Head to North:
Results: Dangerous. Never sleep with the top of your head pointing to the north and feet pointing to the south. Brings terrible dreams and disturbed sleep. You will feel miserable. Irritability, frustration and emotional instability will develop. It sucks your positive vibrations while you sleep. You will lose 50% of your willpower and your soul power will not increase while you sleep. Your physical and mental health will suffer.
According to Vastu principles, the human body acts as a magnet with the head as its North Pole. If the head points north while sleeping, the North Poles of the body and Earth will repel each other, affecting the blood circulation and causing disturbed sleep and stress. South, East & West are acceptable.
Some believe that Vastu may have been giving advice that is opposite of truth to the masses, reserving true information for the king. The idea was to keep the masses suppressed.
According to some sleeping with head towards south and feet towards north leads a person to become lethargic and corrupt, conditions, which lead to general poverty and disorder in society. This is because south has been regarded as the direction of the demon and north that of the Gods in mythology.
Some answer this based on polarity of earth’s magnetic field but that does not lead to an answer. Both positions have their own advantages. Due to the contradiction in various sources it is not possible to give a final answer yet. It may be possible that the best direction is different for each individual or that other things such as placement of bed with respect to bedroom walls, doors and windows is more important. It is best to experiment and find on one's own.
Also in The Mahabharata, one of the ancient texts of India, was probably composed in the 8th or 9th centuries BC but possibly much older than that (certainly the authors of Hamlet's Mill demonstrate throughout their book that the Mahabharata contains encoded ancient knowledge which is likely from the same source as the ancient knowledge that turns up in ancient Egypt and ancient Sumer and other civilizations around the world -- we have examined one such piece of evidence from the Mahabharata in this previous post). The Mahabharata instructs its readers:
They that are wise should never see themselves in an unpolished or dirty mirror. One should never have sexual congress with a woman that is unknown or with one that is quick with child. One should never sleep with head turned towards the north or the west. [See this online version, and to find the passage cited, look in the section marked page 199, in section 104].
This very ancient injunction against sleeping with the head to the north or to the west has been preserved among Indian culture, according to some sources.
To that Yogi, human beings reflect the planet earth in having a north pole and a south pole, and the alignment of our body while sleeping matters because the flow of energy through the earth affects our own magnetic field.
We have seen that ancient cultures appear to have been aware of the low-frequency underground electric currents called telluric energy, which flow through the earth. It is quite likely that the ancients were aware of some of the influence that the earth's energy has on the human body (some researchers point to evidence that this energy also impacts seeds and the positive growth of plants).
The Difference between Electromagnetic and Magnetic Fields
First off - charges are used to refer to particle, which have an electric field.
Magnetic fields are created when electric current flows: the greater the current, the stronger the magnetic field. An electric field will exist even when there is no current flowing. If current does flow, the strength of the magnetic field will vary with power consumption but the electric field strength will be constant.
Moving electric charges creates magnetic fields. Magnetic field lines help to represent the strength and direction of the magnetic field around a source. The closer together the lines, the stronger the force is at that point. The strength of the magnetic force decreases the further you go from the magnet.
The Earth has its own huge magnetic field, with magnetic field lines starting at the North Pole and finishing at the South.
The basic concept of an electromagnet is based on the fact that an electric current flowing through creating magnetic field it is a conservative force and the electric field lines goes out of the positive charge and end at negative charge while a magnetic field is created by current that is moving charge it is a non conservative force and the field lines are continuous.
Is the North Pole a positive or negative charge? -: The north geographic pole of the earth is the south pole of a magnet. Magnets do not exert forces on stationary electric charges. Magnets are said to have a "north pole" and a "south pole". Traditionally, the north pole of a magnet is the side that would be attracted toward the North Pole of the Earth in a compass. Since opposite magnetic poles attract, the Earth's "Magnetic North Pole" is physically a magnetic south pole.
What is the magnetic charge of the South Pole?
Negative is the current magnetic charge of the Earth's South Pole.
But such has not always been the situation. Scientists suggest that the charge changed from positive to the current negative. At the same time, the North Pole's magnetic charge changed from negative to its current positive.
We do not describe a magnetic pole as a 'charge', and the terms 'positive' and 'negative' are not applied to magnets. Magnetic poles are described as being 'north' and 'south', whereas electric charges are described as being 'positive' or 'negative'.
Once again you have to try it on you own to see the difference.

you think you know better, it seems that you have believe system as well, and what makes you so sure it's a correct one? Note you still have an ego too and i am not you, i have my own path, in order for you to say that you have to know me ... do you? I know who i am that limited 'thinking' does nothing to me, i have tested my abilities to live in the nature with little and also i have learned how to live in 'box society' and Freedom is not external feeling it's internal - once you have it you can feel free even in the 'prison' ... as it's related to your Personal Power, which nobody can take unless you allow it.
Anyway thanks for your input ...
...Im Into A Bit Of Feng Shui....:)....Not That I Sleep In A Particular Direction....But....Can See The Point........:)....xx...
There are lots of possibilities when working with energies, it takes trials and errors to find what's works for each individual ... :)
There is a phenomenon call Places of Power, which has a great significance for spiritual work and individual as well based on the daily life. This term was introduced by Mexican Indian Juan Matus, described in the books of Carlos Castaneda. Places of power are geographic zones, sometimes large, sometimes small, which possess energy fields that are of significance for people.
It has nothing to do with the phenomenon as an energy fields created by plants and technical devices (transformers, high voltage lines and so on).
Places of power may be found on the surface of the Earth, underground (for example, in the subway), above the surface, as well as in water reservoirs. The nature of the majority of places of power can be explained as follows. The Earth (as a planet) is a multidimensional structure. In it, all manifestations of the multidimensional space are present — from the physical plane up to the plane of the Creator. Depending on the structure of the crystal lattice of the Earth as a whole or of some parts of its crust, the energy fields of certain spatial dimensions in certain places may dominate or, on the contrary, may be manifested weaker. So places of power look like “holes” in dense spatial dimensions “filled” with the energy of a certain subtle energy layer.
According to Juan Matus, places of power are subdivided into positive and negative ones. To the first category He assigned the places, which give their energy to people, to the second — the places which take energy. However, the former are not necessarily favorable and the latter — unfavorable. For example, there are places of power that “drain” energy, and this can be used for purging the organism of coarse, pathogenic energies, that is for healing. And vice versa, some places of power possessing excessive energy are detrimental rather than beneficial if their energy is coarse or contains undesirable informational characteristics, inducing, for example, anxiety, depression and so on. Everything is Energy, Places of power exist everywhere. One can come across them in towns, in woods, in swamps, in mountains.
good for you ... however for me it makes a significant difference.
... it takes a few to keep the warmth ... ;)
i have fences, trees in between to mark my owning, for one specific reason - i created a special space of love for me to relax and enjoy ... it has nothing to do with the believe nor hiding.
