You are God. We are 'the Gods'

I wrote this short explorative essay for my more skeptical friends to try show how the implausible, can become plausible, when we change how we look at things. I think the timing is off but I did that to make it that much more believable to the skeptics among us. It was actually received pretty well. ClarkeIn the past 100 years, humanity has advanced further than anyone could have imagined. Realizing how far we've advanced in the fields of medicine, science, and technology, let's look at how far we may be another 1000 years from now to the year 3001:-- = --We just turned over into the new millennium and life is wonderful. We recently celebrated the 800th anniversary of eliminating harmful pollution of Earth's air, land and water. All of our energy needs are now provided by clean renewable energy, a combination of wind, water, solar, and hydrothermal powers most of our homes and industries. Our vehicles are either plug in or have their own source of renewable energy.It's been almost 900 years since we abandoned a consumer economy to products that were built and engineered to last such that there is very little lack among any of Earth's inhabitants. Things are no longer built to have a lifespan, but to have endless use with little maintenance and few repairs. Clean, efficient machines do most of the labor now days whether growing and harvesting foods, constructing buildings or maintenance. People are now available to use most of their time learning to their hearts content through the freely available education outlets in the comfort of their homes. Much time is also expressed exploring and sharing each of our individual talents. A local event just last evening combined the wonders of music, dance, art and theatre for an enlightening and inspiring concert production. All who wanted to were able to attend if not in person, through virtual reality holograms.Last year the scientific and wellness industries informed us that through continued advancement in genetics and nutrition, life expectancy has been increased to 800 years plus. Earths oldest person recently celebrated their 750th birthday. The timing of their birth in 2251 was such that they rode the wave of each breakthrough when life expectancy at that time was 150 years and was bumped up nearly 100 years every 100 years since then.With life expectancy now extending beyond 800 years, life is much slower than the old timers tell us it used to be. Now many have dozens of what the old timers call PHDs in all sorts of varying fields of science, technology or whatever interests they might have. Time isn't heeded so much as there is time for just about anything you would like to do.It's been about 700 years since any conflicts between opposing regions such that Earth is mostly a peaceful planet. With everyone's needs being abundantly supplied, there is very little crime. Marriage was abandoned about 500 years ago as people realized that having only one life partner for 300 plus years gets a little challenging. That isn't to say some people still don't choose just one person to share their life with, it's just not necessary anymore. Many people wait until they are a good 80 years old now before settling on someone to create an offspring with. Some old timers and history books remind us that people used to marry in their late 20's! They were just babies!For those who choose to create an offspring, human incubation is only necessary for 90 days, at which time, the remaining development can be done by a local pregnancy center and nurtured through artificial feeding and monitored for optimal development. Some people still choose to carry their babies full term to experience the wonderful high that comes from this natural expression of creation.About 300 years ago, our explorers reached their first extra-solar planet system, about 46 light years away. At that time, it took a good 100 years to get there and back. Through continued advancement in electromagnetic propulsion systems that eliminate the effects of gravity, mass and inertia and the space warping capabilities, this same planet system can be reached in about 1 Earth day. Of this planet system, one planet has developed primitive life in varying forms similar but differant than those on Earth. We have named this planet Gaia. About 50 years ago, scientists combined Earth-Human genetics with those of a local Gaian homo sapien like species to create a new hybrid species with communication abilities and appearances similar but smaller to Earth humans. This planet is 1/3 larger in mass than Earth such that local life is smaller and appears dwarf size to what we are familiar with on Earth. One really feels like a giant walking among the life of Gaia. A lot of strength training is done in preparation of landing on this planet since gravity is much stronger. Other options are robotic suits to help support the explorer's bodies.One colony of 8 Gaian hybrid-humans(Gaians) is now established, suited for continued local conscious evolution with traits needed for adaptation and survival of Gaian environments and competing species. To learn more about this new Gaian human, researchers are taking an "off-hands" approach and allowing them to develop mostly unaided. Intervention is only considered appropriate should annihilation of the species be threatening. To them, we are the Gods (kind of hard not to be intimidating to them since we are over twice their height). Their development is coming along fine and should be ready for a "full release" in another 25 years or so.-- = --Back to current times in good old 2009. Knowing where we've been and seeing one possibility of where we may go in the next 1000 or maybe 10,000 years, so long as we don't kill our planet, does the scenario above seem hard to believe? If not, does it then seem easier to believe that our relatively young species of human's on Earth were possibly created or advanced prematurely through genetics by an even more ancient humanoid species, likely 500,000 to 1,000,000 years more evolved than we are now who came from another solar system or planet? In the scenario above, we would be the Gods and ETs to the Gaians. In other words, you are God, we are the Gods, and there's nothing un-scientific or superstitious about it. Something to think about, open your minds to the possibility of, and research further from ancient Sumerian texts, the whole ET phenomenon, advancements in genetics, human Genome project, propulsion systems, free energy devices and more. Perhaps we are just destined to repeat "what has already been done in other worlds". Thoughts on the possibility of Humans on Earth being the result of a genetically modified hybrid-ET/homo-sapien, prematurely evolved 12,000 to 200,000 years ago?"When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change" - Dr. Wayne W.
