dear diary, last night's shift was tolerable. Leo wasn't being completely backwards, and actually allowed me to do my job with less obstruction than normal! i am appreciating when he is out of character like that! i accidentally got blood on my shoe. ew. it was a long, painfully busy night, and everyone was drunk, or so it seemed! i guess, i have to give the schizophrenic woman with the swollen legs a break though, at least she hadn't been drinking. she said the hare krishnas had been aerosolizing some sort of mind control fumes into her SRO (single resident occupancy) to force her to do some "unmentionable things.." for three weeks now. she was going to elaborate, but suddenly became silent; paranoid that "the dragons would hear" her. i am grateful when they keep things to themselves. i was tired. impossibly sleepy all night. i brought my quartz with me from the altar to assist myself in witholding judgement. kept it in my left pocket all night. solid. cool. warm. indifferent. centered. helped alot. even the er nurse was civil to me! tonight is my thursday, maybey i'll call out "sick" ? maybey not. either way, sleep meditation soon. thank you, thank you, thank you. i'm sorry, i'm sorry, i'm sorry. please, please, please. ~god still me
