Let me tell how i came across it or was drawn to it and it to me.
I have not been into crystals at all, i am nearly sixty years old, to me in my younger years it was all Hippy stuff, something to Laugh at, nothing to take seriously.
Then a few Months ago i was in a small town called Leighton Buzzard, i came across a small "Hippy" looking shop and decided to pop in and take a look, i felt very comfortable in here, felt bit like home, also felt mystical, magical, yes it felt fine.
I got chatting to the owner and she was an easy being to talk to, she tried to sell me nothing, i said that i would like a Crystal, maybe psychologically it would help me sleep better and relax.
Anyway she asked me not to look and that she was going to place some Crystals on the counter which she did, she asked me to close my eyes and she moved my hand so that it was about 2-3 inches above the Crystals, i thought to myself "this is getting daft now". She asked me to slowely move my hand from left to right and slowly back again, which i did, she asked could i feel anything, she asked me to do it again, using my other hand, this time on the first sweep i felt a warmth on the palm of my hand "whats going on lol" i was told to keep eyes closed and told to repeat the process, i felt nothing at all, toldagain repeat process, yes there was this distinct warm glow, just like passing my hand over a warm radiator.
Ok open eyes, on the counter was about ten beautiful Crystals, she again asked me to repeat the same process, this time i stopped above the smallest crystal on the block, it was a small Amethyst "point", think that's what it is called anyway lol.
It was quite lonely their amongst its big brothers and sisters, i picked it up and it felt so smooth, it felt soft in my hand.
Anyway she said that it had chosen me, anyway it came home with me.
We move on now to a dream i have been having on and off for many years, a nightmare of a dream, in this dream i would be being chased by a lion, i would have to climb on top of doors, on top of wardrobes on top of just about everything that just happened to be there at the right time, sounds silly doesn't it, quite ridiculous, a grown man having these silly dreams, alway running always terrified, i would never get caught, i would awake in the morning and the fear would stay with me for the whole day.
Further on, anyway i gets my crystal, go to bed that first day, i had the crystal under my pillow, and i had not had the nightmare for a while but this first day of bringing the crystal home, i have the dream again, this time though after chasing me for so many years, i did not feel terrified, right at the beginning of the dream the Lion caught up with me, what do you think it did, well i will tell you exactly what it did, it laid down at my feet, and rolled over on its back, i placed my hand on it and felt it, it to was so soft and warm, i had no fear at all, i awoke from that dream, that dream i had been at times to afraid to go to sleep for being hunted by a lion, i awoke feeling completely relaxed and refreshed.
I take that little 2" Amethyst with me everywhere. A couple of months, maybe three months ago i went to my Daughters for dinner, that evening when i returned home i noticed that i did not have my crystal, it was eleven in the evening so i did not ring her because of the children, i really was concerned, i rang her first thing the next morning, she promised me she would search everywhere, which i know she would, she rang me that evening to tell me that she could not find it and she would keep searching as it couldn't be anywhere else, i really felt lost, almost in grief, is this over the top, should i be feeling this way over a Crystal, i needed this fixed, i went on eBay and brought a lovely 5" Amethyst Crystal, it arrived very quick, i was happy as i unwrapped it, then i felt sorrow, i could feel no energy, i could feel nothing from this, it may as well been a stone from the garden at this time.
After a week passed my daughter rang saying that she checked a place she had previously looked and there in full view was my little friend, at this i felt overjoyed, it was as if it was already back with me, i could feel it calling to me, it was happy to have been found, i do not know where it went lol, but it is back with me now.
I know nothing of healing, but my little crystal does, on a certain occasion i had a bad pain in my left Temple region, i do not know why but i took the crystall and proceeded to use the ball end, not the point to slowly and gently smooth the area that was was hurting, i could immediately feel the pain begin to ease, i stopped before it had gone completely and it got quite heavy again, i continued with the Crystal this time in circles, it again started to subside, this time i waited for it to stop completely, when it had i removed the Crystal, the pain had gone. Last week i had am abscess on my gum and it was terrible, each day it grew worse, again i took the little fella and smoothed the side of my face with the ball end, right on top of the abscess, and yes it worked it gradually went away, the pain that is, the next morning the abscess had disappeared.
Make of it what you will, i know there are you here that are well into Crystals and know what they are and what best use they serve, so can you help me to understand why this little fella has been so so good to me.
All that Hippy stuff Bah humbug lol, we live and learn, we live and learn.

I must share the most beautiful aspect of crystals is that I want to do healing work and have been looking for the right channelling, i.e. reiki, transferrence healing, etc, and have not studied any of these properly but merely touched on the fundamental laws of healing (non-attachment, intent and unconditional love) and it is only when I work with crystals that I have the ability to do this and give healing without even realising it..I am so delighted to be able to do this.
Has anyone tried vibrational sound healing with crystals. From the little experience I have it resonnates very powerfully with the right notes for each chakra.. Amazing but still a lot to learn from them. .
Also if anyone has tried using them as gem water therapy, I would love to hear about your experience.
