Exploring Space Frontiers: Our Inter Galactic Planetary neighbours!!
The search for another Earth is so exciting for scientists, The question of whether or not extraterrestrial life exists has always captivated astronomers and non-astronomers alike!
- Here are a selection of findings from the space agency which shows some of their latest findings!
- Bearing in mind these planets may support life which we cannot see with our 3d eyes until our human consciousness has been raised to see into the multi dimensional worlds.
There are other 3d planets like ours out there...
for example some years ago this was discovered:
Found 20 light years away: the New Earth!

Planet with four suns discovered!
By Paul Rincon BBC News ,
The new planet - a gas giant - is about six times the size of Earth
Astronomers have found a planet whose skies are illuminated by four different suns - the first known of its type. The planet, located just under 5,000 light-years away, has been named PH1 after the Planet Hunters site.

Huge diamond planet found, twice the size of Earth!!!!!

New evidence of a distant planet with diamond continents and seas of molten graphite found!!!
But the diamond “super-Earth” — known as 55 Cancri e and twice the diameter of our planet — holds even more exciting possibilities for astrophysical science“It’s a much bigger event than just finding a planet,” says Madhusudhan. “We are, for the first time, trying to explore the chemistry of planets outside the solar system. We are making the first marks.”

NASA Discovers Smallest Alien Planet Yet!!!

SEATTLE – NASA has discovered the smallest planet ever seen beyond our solar system – a rocky world just 1.4 times larger than Earth – using its planet-hunting Kepler observatory.
The planet, called Kepler-10b, is also the first rocky alien planet to be confirmed by NASA's Kepler mission using data collected between May 2009 and early January 2010.
To date, more than 500 exoplanets have been confirmed.
The Kepler observatory stares at more than 156,000 stars in a star field located in the constellations Cygnus and Lyra.

Triple Sunset: Planet Discovered in 3-Star System!
A newly discovered planet has bountiful sunshine, with not one, not two, but three suns glowing in its sky!!!
It is the first extrasolar planet found in a system with three stars. How a planet was born amidst these competing gravitational forces will be a challenge for planet formation theories.
"The environment in which this planet exists is quite spectacular," said Maciej Konacki from the California Institute of Technology. "With three suns, the sky view must be out of this world -- literally and figuratively!!!"

Hottest Known Planet !!!
The hottest alien planet yet known may create a shock wave-like shield to protect itself against the atmosphere-stripping side effects of circling close to its parent star, a new study suggests.
Discovered in 2008, WASP-12b is currently the hottest known planet and orbits the closest to its parent star — about 2.1 million miles (3.4 million kilometers). The planet is almost twice the size of Jupiter and has a surface temperature of about 4,000 degrees Fahrenheit (2,200 degrees Celsius), according to previous studies.

Atmosphere of another Super-Earth Revealed for First Time!
- GJ 1214b is called a super-Earth because it is larger than our planet but smaller than gas giants like Jupiter and Saturn. It was first discovered in 2009 and has been studied ever since.
Astronomers have discovered more than 500 alien planets beyond our solar system so far, with hundreds more expected to be confirmed in upcoming months.

Out There: Other Worlds!
Artist's rendering of the oldest known planet, with the dense pack of stars in the globular cluster it calls home. |
- More than 400 worlds have been found beyond the reach of our sun, and the tally is rising rapidly!!! From super-Earths to giants dwarfing Jupiter, our galaxy is made up of different kinds of planets.
Super-Earths
A super-Earth is a planet with a mass larger than Earth's, roughly up to 10 times greater.
The Kepler mission launched in 2009 is already on track to finding such planets, and the James Webb Space Telescope currently scheduled to launch in 2014 will be able to characterize the atmospheres of at least a few super-Earths.
So there you have it folks....
