Russian psychical researcher Alexander N. Aksakof first coined the word “telekinesis” in 1890.
This phenomenon was originally thought to have been controlled by ghosts, mischievous spirits, angels, demons, or other supernatural forces. When it was discovered that objects moved randomly during legitimate séances, the action was further called psychokinesis. “Psychokinesis, then, is the general term that can be used to describe a variety of complex mental force phenomena (including object movement) and telekinesis is used to refer only to the movement of objects, however tiny (a grain of salt, or air molecules to create wind) or large (an automobile, building, or bridge).”
While many spontaneous movements seem benign and harmless, there have been cases of poltergeist activity where people are violently hurt by the moving objects.
People who used Telekenis ability
- Author Martin Caidin claimed to be able to move small tabletop “energy wheels”, or psi wheels, with his mind. the author whose 1972 novel CYBORG was used as the basis for the television series THE SIX MILLION DOLLOR MAN and THE BIONIC WOMAN, claimed to be able to cause movement by means of telekinesis!
- SWAMI RAMA (1925–1996), a YOGI skilled in controlling his heart functions who was studied in 1970, and was alleged by some observers to have telekinetically moved a knitting needle twice from a distance of five feet
- Italian medium Eusapia Palladino said she could move things during séances; this statement was verified by magician Howard Thurston, who witnessed her levitating a table.
- Matthew Manning (his book is "The Link) had poltergeist activity and managed to channel it where he could control some of it.
& a bunch of others all claimed to have tapped into the power!!
