Vedic Numerology
Since I was a little girl I've always been fascinated by numbers, and i knew intuitively numbers played a big role in ALL our lives.
Here's a little insight into Vedic Numbers and its role in our life purpose, for those of you who wish to delve further into this area, this is for YOU.
'An unexamined life is not worth living' – Socrates
Everything is based on numbers!
Since ancient times Numerology uses numbers as a key to observe and understand human behavior. It is considered a science of vibration. Numerology is documented to have been employed by many cultures; the Creek classics, as well as the Vedas, Hindu texts, leave us a rich orientation, referring to Numerology as the oldest mathematics of the universe.
Everything is energy, Everything is vibration.
Numerology is the language of vibrational frequencies, encompassing both, the intuitive and scientific root that our existence is based on. There are many different realities, all abiding in the same universe at the same time, what distinguishes our self expression is our vibration, how attuned we are, how connected to the whole. Numerology contains the model of the entire universe. An apparent simple study of numbers, can translate into endless complexity if u relate the mathematics into everything you think, do and are.
The skill comes from the practice in doing that, seeing the mystery unfold in everything, everyone and everywhere. Through Numerology we may learn how to be in tune with our own uniqueness and yet be sourced by the whole, harmonizing with the supreme reality abiding in a frequency that is natural and comfortable to our essence.
Vedic Numerology is the study of the planetary rulership through nine primary numbers. My explorations and delight as a professional Vedic Numerologist have confirmed the teachings of the late Shri HARISH JOHARI, who played with numbers in every aspect of his life as a simple, clear and concise system to enjoy, and enhance human dynamics. It is a wondrous tool for communication, as well as the deeper aspects of the esoteric template of ones current incarnation. Overall Vedic Numerology holds the view that we are here in earth school for certain lessons that are predetermined by the karma accrued during our previous lives. We incarnate specifically to harmonize our vibrational field and soul essence. Yet why at a certain time, date, year, place, environment, country, culture, family, set and setting with all the subsequent trials and opportunity? What does our birth data reveal, what our name?
The study of the numbers helps guide us in our karmic awareness and evolutionary potential. The planets dance in our psyche and insistently force a destiny unfolding. Vedic Numerology subscribes to the belief that the soul chooses to manifest in an individuals life expression by their birth data and the name vibration to evolve further in consciousness. The numbers tell us about the psychological profile, the ahamkara (ego) and the karmic residue, in terms of the strength and weaknesses we are born with and will learn and refine through in this lifetime. The vibrational forces have a very distinct quality for each planet and with experience and vigilant observation, these characteristics are visible and easy to recognize.
We deal with numbers from one to nine, the seven luminaries, plus Rahu and Ketu, the nodes of the moon. Everything is reduced to a single digit, so even if you have a compound birthday number, such as twenty one, when reduced to a single digit, becomes a three and is ruled by Jupiter. Number eleven and twenty two are considered master numbers. Here the vibration of the two (moon) and the four (Rahu) is intensified and these individuals will shine in their unique contribution to humanity.
In Vedic Numerology we are offered excellent possibilities for healing and becoming whole by adhering to certain ayurvedic principles, determined by our constitution and inherent in the planetary archetype ruling the numerical vibration. Through ritualistic sadhana with specific mantras, yantras and tantras we concentrate our awareness and move toward self liberation.
All numbers are influenced by the specific qualities of their mythological attributes as well as the collective unconscious. 2003 is considered a five year in Vedic Numerology, ruled by Mercury. If you study the attributes listed below, you may be able to find the similarities in the qualities of your overall energy impressions thus far and continue to observe same throughout the cycle of the year, individually as well as globally.
Vedic Numerology is all about resonance, and neither a religion nor a prophetic fortune telling
Each of our lives is ruled by numbers, house numbers, phone numbers, passport numbers to mention just a few. Numbers are used in everything from homeopathy to space engineering, in cooking and money counting, in your every breath there is a secret of numbers determining your mental state and life span. You want fame - Numbers are the game. Although it is entirely possible to play the numbers in the mundane, like the lottery, Vedic Numerology is a sacred study as it enables us to look deeply into the wheel of karma and adjust our attitude and behavior in the world. Absolutely everything is based on etheric vibration, the higher the frequency, the more force it contains. You can witness this in tantra, in the shamanic world, in advanced stages of yoga and self development. And so all things, great and small, find their place and order in the universe.

How to Compute the Name Number
The name Harish would be 8 for 'H', 1 for 'A', etc using the table above. Thus 8 + 1 + 2 + 1 + 3 + 8 = 23 = 2 + 3 = 5. One should do this for each word in the name based on the whole name that is commonly used by the person. The Psychic number is based on the day, e.g. someone born 12 May 1934 would be 1 + 2 = 3. The destiny number is based on the whole date, i.e. 5 + 1 + 2 + 1 + 9 + 3 + 4 = 25 = 2 + 5 = 7.
