Spiritual force in its various grades circulates around the three points of the triangle, eventually becoming the electrical and magnetic funnel or vortex of receptivity that lifts up and simultaneously draws down the needed forces for transmutation and reconstruction.

There are five major triangles within the etheric body of the disciple, and there are five major triangles within the etheric body of the planet. This is the protective grid that "seals the door where evil dwells." In acts of white magic it is helpful to the disciple or group to understand how the energy travels around the three points of the triangles, and how the triangles are connected together to form an over-arching grid. As the energy is circulating from point to point the triangle eventually becomes the rotating vortex. Through the power of rotary motion the heavier atoms are thrown out of these various centers, and lighter, more ethereal ones are built in. As each triangle and its subsequent vortex becomes activated, it becomes the foundation and basis for the next triangle and vortex until all are connected by these ever widening funnels of spiritual fire and light.

This work with triangles, astrology, and laya yoga is the basis of the new super-human physics that the Tibetan hinted at and will be instrumental in bringing spiritual transmutation and transformation into the realm of a true Aquarian science.

"This Science of Triangles of Energy underlies the new esoteric science both in astrology and in the science of laya-yoga or the science of the centres. Both this ancient yoga and the still more ancient astrological science have now to be studied upon a higher turn of the spiral. Up till the present time, the teaching about the centres has been inherited from Atlantean times and couched in the old forms and formulas which are basically unsuited to our present greatly advanced stage of development. The same can be said of orthodox or exoteric astrology. Both these sciences must be reoriented and rearranged, and astrology must be based upon a deeper understanding of the relation of the planets — sacred and non-sacred — to the centres and to certain prominent 'cycles of polarisation' emerging as the fore-ordained results of "periods of crisis." Laya yoga — the yoga of the fiery force centers (and the yoga of final dissolution) — must be lifted out of its past focus on individual development and emphasize a group focus and its potential for wider and more dynamic types of service. Contrary to popular opinion, the long term goal of laya yoga is not personal development and does not lie in the development of the petals or outer walls of the vortex rings, but in awakening the latent and embryonic point of fohat/will or the bindu found at the center of all rotating spiritual lives.

Let us now examine the chakra system in its most superficial form knowing that we are primarily dealing with the third divine aspect, yet always with the intent of revealing the essence that hidden lies behind the forms.

In the chart with the word "Monad" at the top, each of the colored chakras has three different levels — etheric, astral and mental — which should be visualized as vortices that allow energy in and energy out. Each center should be visualized as being a dual vortex within a sphere. How these centers are connected and aligned at the different stages of development are the secrets of initiation that must be mastered by those who seek progress on the path.

"The Mysteries are revealed, not primarily by the reception of information anent them and their processes, but by the action of certain processes, carried out within the etheric body of the disciple; these enable him to know that which is hidden; they put him in possession of a mechanism of revelation and make him aware of certain radiatory and magnetic powers or energies within himself which constitute channels of activity and modes whereby he may acquire that which it is the privilege of the initiate to own and to use."  (R&I:337)

It must be kept in mind that the inertia or resistance that we normally associate with motion on the physical plane is lessened as each succeeding body, ray, or plane is developed or penetrated — cones within cones, spheres within spheres, or "wheels within wheels" all nested or positioned in a graded hierarchy in which each ring, wheel, or sphere creates the foundation for the next more ethereal wave of circulating and expanding life.

The Tibetan has stated that the Hierarchy, the divine ego, and all the force centers found within the etheric body of any organism, no matter what level, are vortical in nature. The chakra system is an important concept to understand because it clearly shows the inner constitution of a human being, and how these inner energies and forces can be built into a series of electrical and magnetic whirlpools of light and sound. The petals we see associated with each center historically are outlined in an attempt show how many energies or forces may be circulating through that center.

  When two different levels of energy and force that are rotating at high speed meet, a vacuum is created and an opening is made. The invoked forces rush into this spiritual vacuum. There is in every occult spherical form a place of entry and a place of exit.  

The antahkarana or rainbow bridge is essentially a vortex of light and sound that, driven from two different directions simultaneously, connects two different levels. It is in the fusion of two levels of energy from above and below, that a saving force can now descend into the attentive meditator.
