I don't know if any one needs this, but i thought I'd share it anyway, since i have just learned/remembered this information.
Look in the mirror at your reflection, now tell yourself "I love you".
Go on, do it.
If it feels awkward, you've got some work to do...
How can anyone like you if you don't like yourself? And how can YOU like anyone of you don't like yourself?
It's completely illogical that we force ourselves to be of service to others, yet completely ignore or neglect our own self existence!
If everyone loved each other, but not their selves, no one would actually ever feel happy... would they!!! They would all have low self-esteem and be slaves to a mindless cause of trying to love others, even though the others can't ever be fulfilled.
No amount of love from someone else could ever make you happy until YOU loved YOUR self.
Believing that SELF worth comes from OTHER people
Oh look there's another one of those false belief things that stop us being our true selves. Isn't it interesting how all these problems are caused by false beliefs, spoon fed to us through out our lives?
Throw away this false belief that other people determine how important you are. This is the most ridiculous belief system I've ever experienced, actually, it's HILARIOUS!I laugh at it because i don't understand how we could be fooled by this!
"OH but i don't deserve to be accepted, I'm not worth anything", Do you honestly believe this? Is love something that is deserved? Do you need special conditions in order to be worth that love and appreciation? There is another dis-connection right there, a false belief keeping you trapped in a bubble.
Just let go
If you want to be important, then be important, it's not hard, because that's what you already are. BE the wonderful BEing that you are. If you were not already immensely important, then WHY do you exist!!!! WHY!!!! WHY ARE YOU A PART OF THE INFINITE UNIVERSE, A PART OF GOD, IF YOU ARE NOT IMPORTANT!!!!??? You are here because you are God, in a sense.
When you open your eyes, you'll see that you already appreciate yourself. You are loving your self every time you get out of bed, giving yourself the opportunity to experience another day, doing things you like doing, because you enjoy being yourself.
Have you ever woken up in the morning and thought "These blankets are so warm" and feeling an appreciation for it, even though the heat came from yourself. You are so easy to love that you didn't even realize you were doing it.
But I am a BAD person
Bad/Good there is nothing wrong with being bad, or good. These are merely perceptions of the neutral-ness of reality. Maybe you have done what one would perceive as "bad" things in your life, but why does this supposedly mean you are more or less important? Recognizing your "badness" is just an opportunity for you to CHOOSE to either continue to be bad, or to be good.....either choice is fine, it's up to you.
If your 'badness' is in the past, then that's the only place it will ever be, behind you...if you allow it.
So if you are existing now (I'm assuming you would be) then make the decision of how you want to BE right NOW. Now is the only moment that could ever exist, yesterday is always gone and tomorrow never arrives. Let go of past decisions, don't worry about future decisions, just make a decision NOW on your feelings, your emotions, what you want...
Connect to your heart
For a moment breath the air into your lungs, as deep as you can, filling your entire lungs till you can't hold any more, then let it out slowly.Keep breathings slowly and think of nothing else but breathing, until you feel like you are completely relaxed.
breath in again, and hold it.
You might feel your heart beating.
Breath out slowly, then pause again, feel your heart.
Breath in again, hold it, feel your heart.
Appreciate it's existence, thank it for being present, fall into it, know that it will always be there. Know that you are everything, that you are a piece of infinity. Know that the sky and the cosmos beyond it is no further away from you, than your own heart, all is within YOU.
It is easy if you allow it.
You may find that after doing this, it feels as though you've woken from a dream, that problems that seemed daunting to you, now they are just another experience for you to experience, you don't need to worry or be afraid. You're remembering yourself and the endless joy that you truly are.
And even if you don't at this time, KNOW that you CAN in any moment you wish. All you need to do is THINK it, BELIEVE it, ALLOW it and FEEL it.
