All Actions Filled with Love

Truth be told, loving others is not the easiest thing in the world to do. If you take the time to honestly and truthfully reflect what real, true love means; not in theory mind you, but in how you relate with others and with yourself, you might conjure up names like the selfless Mother Teresa, the dedicated Martin Luther King Jr., or even the gentle, yet bold Jesus…there others that have made a difference with their selflessness and pure love that they gave willingly, without a question to all equally and all actions they performed were done with love.

People like these and more didn’t look at the person’s appearance to determine if they were worthy of love. Even the most unlikable person was given unconditional love as all people are worthy to receive love, without any expectations in return. Now consider this kind of behaviour in the workplace with a co-worker that always gets on your nerves; or the neighbour that is always loud and fuelled with alcohol or influenced by drugs, people that are different from your way of living and being, can you honestly say you are able to love these people as purely as you love your family?

It is true dear ones that to love is a choice only you can make and at the same time it is greater than any mundane decision as it is an action and without action it is nothing. Have you ever thought that love could be less about emotions and feelings and more about discipline and focus?

If you look at love without the emotional attachment you often give, in time you will conclude love is more than mere feelings but more about being willing. Is it possible to show a little more love in every part of your day, along with a mindset of readiness and willingness to have an open heart?

It is more than possible to put your love into action, you simply need to learn how to control your habit to judge others. Remember dear ones, none of you are perfect.

Each dear soul comes with their own set of flaws and imperfections. We know you have experienced times when you felt broken. Instead of condemning another person for their differences or errors, extend yourself gracefully and enable others by the power of your acceptance of them, regardless who they are or what their weaknesses are.

Demonstrating grace and acceptance are not the only ways to put your love into action. Make it a point to be more forgiving and less rigid. Is there not enough conflict in the world?

So, why add to it over petty things. Forgive the wrongs done to you, forgive the wrongs you have done and forgive yourself for putting yourself into a painful position of any particular past event...and let it go.

Love yourself enough to rid yourself of any deep-rooted conflict that has caused upset. Let your resentments go by loving yourself and be amazed by the incredible power of love and how it unfolds before your eyes in ways you never imagined.

If you look at Mother Teresa, Martin Luther King Jr., or Jesus, you will see that they didn’t discourage other people’s dreams.

They were supportive and helped to strengthen confidence by empowering others through wise words and positive, yet loving affirmations that they can do anything when they put their whole heart into it. Genuine encouragement can change someone’s world and each of you have this power to make happen when you put love into action.

Even if what is being discussed is boring or not your cup of tea, listen with clarity and focus. Be the ear the other person needs, don’t tune them out because you know they will ask you a question and you are required to deliver an intelligent response soon after.

It is rather demoralizing to the one talking to find out the person they were talking to didn’t listen to what was important enough for them to share. Show your love by being focused in any conversation, leave your opinions elsewhere and let your love flow through the generosity of your listening skills that display understanding and empathy from beginning to end.

Some people can be hard to get through to, but they are still lovable. Keep in mind people are people. Their journey is unique. Their fragilities, their weaknesses are equal in need of acceptance and belonging.

Just because someone is different, regardless what class they could be labelled with doesn’t mean they get to be tore down to fit certain standards. Even if the person is ugly, dirty and broken, they deserve to be treated with kindness and with love.

Look back at what you have done recently and think if you any of what you did, including any interaction came from a place of love before you began. Or did you already form an opinion in your mind, or judgment on how to proceed?

Becoming thoughtful to how you once did things is a good way to make changes to the future by practicing now, in the present to be more loving in all your actions, all of the time, no matter who the receiver is.

Love is in you to give, so give it—and give it freely and equally to one and all.
