Are you Taking Responsibility for Your Physical Health as Well as Your Spiritual Health?

Thank you for your welcome to your site. I have too much information on my health blog to repeat it on this site, however I would love to share what I know about health and wellness.One example is that most people don't realize that there is an epidemic of vitamin D deficiency that has been found by the cancer society. They are now stating that over 75% of people are vitamin D deficient and that is a leading cause of the higher incidents of breast cancer, diabetes and auto-immune diseases. I had my vitamin levels tested after taking 2000 units a day, for over a year. My vitamin D levels were at 27ml. I can't even imagine what it was before I started taking 2000 units a day! I now have to take 6000 units a day just to keep my levels in the optimum range of 40ml to 60ml. It is an epidemic that needs to be addressed, yet it is getting overlooked as we address other looming problems. And in the meantime American's health are taking the toll.It is through learning about what creates health and wellness that we can continue our wonderful experiences here on earth. It is difficult to have a full life without our health and yet many take it for granted. We have disconnected from the source of our food and consequently we have disconnected from our health. Most people don't even realize how many of their daily actions will determine the quality of their health.Our lack of attention has allowed large corporations to take over our health care industry as well as the food industry. Not a great situation as we continue to become disconnected to our world and what creates wellness, health and balance.Diabetes, auto-immune diseases, heart disease, cancer these are all health issues that have solutions that are in our control. Yet we wait until we get them, before we educate ourselves to what could have prevented them, or how we could manage or reverse them if we just took our power back by becoming informed of our options!Prevention is the answer to our health crisis. Learning about natural solutions that don't harm you with their side effects, like so many pharmaceuticals, is a necessity. I am appalled at the list of side effects listed in the commercials on television and we accept them a normal and acceptable. Not only do we think it is acceptable we take them willingly when our doctors prescribe them. What has happened to us in America that we are in 35th place, in the United Nations and 50th in the World for life expectancy. This is not about health care reform. This is about personal responsibility and learning how to take that responsibility and create the life and wellness that we all deserve.There is a new paradigm that needs to be built on. We talk a lot about spirituality and creating our own realities, and yet we have yet to take the power and control for our own health. And believe me, creating your own reality and living a spiritual life is very difficult if you are struggling with health issues. Yes, it will create spiritual growth through the challenges you will face when in a health crisis, but if you could shift your growth to outside yourself and health issues and put them into the community helping others secure a successful life, think of the spiritual growth you can obtain then.We are seeing this disconnect it in our environment, in our communities, in our schools and in our families. The disconnect to what creates health and wellness. We have turned our heads away from these subjects as we have become so busy with our lives that we have turned our responsibilities over to those who don't have our best interests always in mind. Financial compensation is what is driving the policies and institutions and that is not a good combination for wellness and health or for your life. Our ideals are out of balance and have been hijacked by those who had determined that profit is all that matters, not integrity, health and balance.I urge all of you to take control of your health and wellness, and become advocates for change. These are difficult and trying times for people. Stress levels are at a all time high and personal responsibility is at an all time low. High fructose corn syrup is in all our foods, and is causing obesity and diabetes for our children. 90 % of processed food have high fructose corn syrup in them. 80% of all corn, wheat, cottonseed and soy seeds in the World is being genetically modified by Monsanto. Monsanto the maker of "Roundup" the weed killer and the same company who left numerous communities with toxic wastes from their factories is selling their seeds to farmers all over the world and is cross contaminating organic farms. They created a new sister company and transferred their lawsuits to the sister company as they moved into the "green movement" genetically modifying the seeds to be resistant to their weed killer, Roundup. Do we wonder if this has anything to do with the fact that corn and wheat is in everything we eat, and that Celiac disease and gluten intolerance is in epidemic growth? Anyone who has a family member with Autism, Adhd and auto immune diseases take these same foods out of their diets as their first step toward healing and health. Vaccines have been tripled in our Country in the last 20 years. From 11 vaccines, still used by the top 10 countries with the best life expectancies, to 35 vaccines used in our Country because it creates not a higher rating in life expectancy but is a incredible source of income revenue and supports a dis-ease oriented mind set instead of a health and wellness approach.We talk about growth and change and we are moving in that direction but now is the time to take the actions needed.
