A basic conclusion is provided at the end for the uninitiated. Traditional electional astrology event analysis calls for primary importance placed on the transiting placement of the luminaries (the Sun and Moon) to the natal horoscope at the time of the event. Any aspect involving Jupiter (transiting or natal placement) applying to any of the two natal luminaries (or both) is a big plus per traditional rules. Note that the transiting Sun usually represents "the day of the event" while the transiting Moon represents "the hour of the event." Transits within two degrees of being exact get consideration, transits within one degree of being exact may be significant, and transits within 1/2 degree of being exact are very probable for an important event to take place at the time of the event, as well as directly after the event (depending on the aspect involved). Let's look at Trump's natal horoscope chart relative to the time of the ABC Presidential Debate (with the transits taking place on the outside dial [at the beginning time for the ABC Presidential Debate]):
Below is the same chart above but with my notes. The transits of Moon Sextile Jupiter and Sun Semi-Sextile Jupiter are both within two degrees of being exact, and Jupiter Conjunction North Node is within one degree of being exact. Because both the Moon Sextile Jupiter transit and the Jupiter Conjunction North Node transit get stronger after the debate (and will be equal in one to two days days after the debate), this favors Trump to develop a strong connection with the public relative to the aftermath of this debate event. The Yod ("finger of God") of transiting Neptune Sextile Pluto applying to Trump's Ascendant is a hard call; this transiting event may represent "secret activities taking place" in the immediate environment of Trump. Security and loyalty of Trump's inner circle will be very crucial for the next two months, since Neptune can represent "deception and fraud" and Pluto represents "transformation, often due to crisis." There is a real probability for deception and fraud to take place in the environment of Trump; please remember that government always attracts the wrong kind of people.
Let's look at the Harris horoscope chart relative to the ABC Presidential Debate:

Sun Conjunction Venus is within two degrees, and Moon Square Venus is within two degrees. With Moon Square Venus getting stronger (and exact) after the debate, this may represent "a conflict among friends and family." Saturn Opposition Pluto is within 1/2 degree; this is a big concern for Harris in regards to this event. Saturn Opposition Pluto is associated with "depression" and "the testing of one's armor," but this transit may also represent "difficulty with applying oneself." Jupiter Sextile Mars is within two degrees, and gets stronger (and equal) in October 2024. This transit is more associated with "working hard and making money" as opposed to the other definition of "lucky activity." However, the latter lucky aspect of Jupiter Sextile Mars can manifest if the right opportunity presents itself, such as any elimination of competition. Note that abolitionist J.D. Rockefeller once stated "competition is a sin," and he was somehow blessed with sudden and timely removals of his competition (while a silent mainstream media looked the other way). The problem with this transit is that the Sextile is not a very strong aspect; Biden's very strong transit of Uranus Sextile Jupiter (within 1/2 degree) did not do much in terms of "sudden or surprising luck" during the last debate with Trump in June 2024. Thus, Jupiter Sextile Mars may define Harris to be working very hard in October 2024, as opposed to having any opportunity for "lucky activity" (unless competitive barriers are suddenly removed and/or eliminated).
Conclusion
The transiting Moon Square Sun phase ("Half Moon") will form during this debate and will be getting stronger (and equal) several hours after this debate. This will represent a conflict developing among the general public regarding this event. Trump holds the astrology edge over this debate event with two lucky aspects involving this transiting Sun and transiting Moon applying to his natal Jupiter on his horoscope chart. Expect a real "legal or juris prudence presentation" of the facts from Trump; Mercury Semi-Square Jupiter ("slight tension involving the law") will be nearly exact during this debate. Harris has one lucky aspect (Jupiter Sextile Mars), and it will be exact next month (and this transit will be slightly over one degree away from being exact at the time of this debate). Thus, this Jupiter Sextile Mars transit is not a strong transit for defining "lucky activity" with this debate event. The transiting Moon Square Sun phase falls on top of the natal Venus placement of Harris (within 1/2 degree). This does not favor good relations that concern family and friends of Harris. Thus, this debate may define a time for Harris to not only have conflict with Trump, but also conflict with people whom Harris is close to as well. Overall, this favors Trump for winning this debate event on September 10, 2024.
