Becoming More

There is not a day where you don’t make some kind of plan or decide to do something. Sometimes though your plans or decisions don’t always go as planned for many reasons.
You may not always get to know all the reasons why, but if you take the time to re-think what happened you will come to at least one or two possible reasons for your plans or decisions not working out.
Many dear souls unfortunately define any possible success too narrowly. If you are at work you may describe success meaning your attendance there, how much money you make, are you part of meetings, when describing your spiritual success you may consider the amount of baptisms you attend,
church groups or spiritual groups you attend, what your level of depth and understanding of a certain spiritual practice or where you may share your selfless service.
When there is an increase in anything you will feel successful, but when things become depleted or lack thereof, you feel you are not successful.
Using numbers when defining your success does pose possible problems as you begin to worry about time and energy.
When you worry and think more about your external issues more than your work on your inner self and forming a deeper connection between you and God, or strengthening the quality of your marriage and friendships, or improving your inner Oneness, or becoming more emotionally mature, your integrity to yourself and to those around you is lessened.
When was the last time you have made a plan or decision that included God? The truth is, the majority of God’s sons and daughters make plans and decisions without Him, and only include Him after they have made the plan or choice and when things go wrong.
It is not so difficult and it really doesn’t take much more effort from you to include God in your choices, asking for guidance as you go through the steps to make your goals happen.
When deciding on a new direction, you can ask God what would be best for you and your situation; when formulating a new plan or goal, you can ask God to help discover methods and ways that will strengthen both your strengths and weaknesses, and where your actions are thoughtful and creative.
God will provide you with answers, He doesn’t speak with a very loud voice, He comes through quietly and speaks through your heart, so you to hear Him, you need to make sure the clutter in your mind has been quieted.
If your mind is too busy and you are too distracted, chances are dear ones you will not hear what his guidance or direction is telling you.
One of the biggest challenges for many dear souls when it comes to committing and dedicating themselves to their plans and decisions is fear of the unknown.
When you bravely reach beyond your comfort zone and step through what was once frightening, when you are no longer tempted or distracted by external situations, you come through as emotionally and mentally mature, ready to face life and the world knowing each step is a wonderful, learning opportunity as you embrace God as your constant companion.
When you are one with God, you are also one with everyone else because where you see another dear soul, you are also seeing God…for He is in each of you.
When you limit yourself, you are basically denying yourself from becoming more. Yes God does love you just as you are, but God knows you can become more and without ever trying you will never know how much more you can be.
Do you often define your success too narrowly? Do you often make your plans or decisions without including God? What are your greatest distractions and what can you do to overcome them?
Isn’t now the perfect time to figure out who you are and what it is you want from life? Becoming better acquainted with your inner person puts you in contact with God’s never-ending Light and infinite Love.
You are not being weak when you include God’s presence in more parts of your life. What you are doing dear ones is sharing His love wherever you go.
I AM Melchizedek
