I myself find it fairly easy to distinguish between "light" sources, and "dark" sources when reading channeled messages, from the energies that emanate from their message. You can always tell. And as always, the key is to follow your heart and intuition, as well as your logic, when dealing with channeled sources.
I've found sources that I'm sure are of a dark persuasion, particularly from Patrick Bellringer and his fourwinds10.com site messages. All his focus is ever on, are the dark machinations going on in the world. His channeled messages are clearly untrue and designed to keep people in fear of the dark side, and lull people into a stagnant "wait for evacuation" when "Earth Shan tips her axis and the pole shift occurs" which can happen "any day now!" They've been pushing this for the last 10 years at least. I've had several discussions with Patrick and his wife Ann, and they shun anybody who even questions them, insisting his messages are the only ones that are true. While sincere, I believe they are being manipulated by dark entities. He even says "Barack Obama is an evil man." Clearly a lack of connection to truth there!
Mark Huber, too, with his "Galactic Round Table" has put out faulty, and downright outrageous information. I've also had several discussions with him and Beth, and with all due respect to them, they seem like nice people who are sincere, they must be very discerning about the beings who claim to be this or that master, who channel through them.
Blossom Goodchild, I am not too familiar with, although I've read some of her messages and while I have felt very good feelings about some of her messages, for others, I got a clear sense of deception. I am sure she is sincere as well, but must be cautious about who she thinks she is channeling from.
So far, I have found 3 sources that I submit are legitimate and are the only ones I follow consistently. Those are the messages from Matthew, channeled by Suzy Ward; SaLuSa from Sirius, channeled by Mike Quinsey; and Sheldan Nidle's Sirian updates. For years they have given clear and consistent messages that I can feel resonate at a high frequency. Mark Stearn Ive found is pretty legitimate, and Doreen Virtue and her messages too, particularly from Archangel Michael, I would submit are very legitimate.
More and more, I've gotten away from channeled messages and rely mostly on my inner sense to tell me what is going on. However, it is my choice to be aware of all information in this "New Age" "Ascension" movement, so I can make a more informed decision on what is happening. There definitely are dark entities attempting to manipulate us by pretending to be this or that master.
I've found so many messages from people claiming to be Jesus, in particular, with downright bogus information. In any case, messages that have a negative tone, or a judgmental tone, or spreads fear about the future, are certainly of a dark persuasion. Others are more tricky. As always, trust your inner feelings about anything you come across. You'll intuitively know what is truth and what isn't, and intuitively know if the source is of the light, or not.
I've found that messages that strongly stress LOVE, are the ones to most be trusted. The big key to this Ascension is learning unconditional love, so dont be too worried about what this or that channel says, as long as you continue growing in unconditional love, you'll be alright. But be weary, light workers of the world! The dark are working overtime to throw you off your path of love and put you in fear.
The biggest thing to be concerned about when dealing with dark entities trying to throw you off your path, isn't with channeled messages, it's with the messages coming into YOUR OWN MIND! There are all kinds of dark entities roaming around, trying to plant negative and fearful thoughts into your mind, and attach themselves to you to feed off your fears. My concern isn't necessarily channeled messages, it's the entities coming directly to you that are the most to be concerned about. They are just waiting for a time when your vulnerable so they can sneak in a negative, self-defeating, or fearful thought into you. Be weary! Monitor your thoughts carefully! The best protection is the Light of God, so I advise, every day when you wake up and before you go to bed, to invoke the White Light of God to protect you from any negative entities and dark filled thoughts and feelings. These entities will scurry away when confronted with it, the Light of God is your best defense! Be sure to invoke it throughout your day, as often as possible!

No Alf, my friend, Obama is not the devil in sheep clothing. The energy of Obama is of the highest light I've seen from any politician. I would even submit he is one of the most advanced souls in the world. I understand your concerns that he sometimes appears aligned with the dark side agenda, but he has to appear that way to them, or else there would've been no chance for him to get to such a position as the Office of The President of the United States. Time will show is true and pure intentions, and we will rejoice at having such a wise and intelligent leader in office, leading us into the ''new age'', which will not be of Lucifer, but of the Light of God!
P.S. It is my understanding and belief that the Annunaki defected to the Light, back in the 90s, and it is only the Illuminati Elite of our world who still stubbornly continue with this N.W.O. nonsense. Thanks Kelly, my mistake again! I assumed they were married. I will correct my errors. I've talked alot with Beth, and with Mark on occasions, and while I know they are genuine people, I feel the information they are putting out is mixed with misinformation. I too am a member of Galactic Round Table, and Beth wont even let people post blogs anymore. Its quite a shame what has happened with them. I do hope Mark is okay, I had no idea of his situation. Yes Turquoise, I know of Drunvalo Melchizedek, who I feel is a genuine man, whos written some fantastic books. Although some of his information from the 90s reflected the energy potential at that time, which I think has changed alot since then, the bad press about him I think is just absurd, created by people who fear the Illuminati, and dont even believe in 2012 or Ascension at all. Theres been many people who say they have pictures of him and others like Gregg Braden at a conference together with Masons, and that means they must be in league with the Illuminati. Thats just nitpicking to me, not every Mason is dark, just ask Leo Zagami! I definitely dont think hes a "prophet" but I believe he has done great work and I have a high respect for him.

I feel I'm getting better at discerning the truth by how I feel after I've read the channeled message... if I feel uplifted and peaceful I feel it resonates with truthful vibrations. Salusa and the Mathews messages are always inspiring and filled with loving vibrations, and it feels so good to know that everything will work out in the end!

Interesting post, again, thanks for the insights. I just wanted to share that Mark Huber is not related to Elizabeth Trutwin, in fact Mark has been MIA for over a year now. His family had him hospitalized against his will (committed) and they tossed Beth and her friends out of Marks home. Last I heard he was staying with his family for an "extended" time to heal and spend time with his loved ones. Beth still runs galacticroundtable with Tara and Rama but some of us here at Ashtar couldn't take the vibes over there and left. They are really big on NESARA there, and "Faction Three" info, whatever thats supposed to mean lol.
I agree about Fourwinds as well, fanatics of any sort are hampering to our spiritual growth. But I like to look at things at all angles, so I take as much in as I can, and sort it out according to what fits with me. I'd suggest that you google Commander Drekx Omega, he is a wonderful source of honest information and a member of the GFL ground crew.
