Uruguay and Chile in Santiago signed an agreement in October 2012 for the scientific study of unidentified flying objects (UFOs) in order to share information about the sightings of these objects.
The CEFAA of Chile and CRIDOVNI, of Uruguay are both interested in the scientific study of Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (FANI) and officials signed an agreement of collaboration and exchange.

Colonel Ariel Sanchez of the Commission Recipient and UFO investigator for the Uruguayan Air Force (CRIDOVNI), sealed the deal with the director of the Committee for the Study of Anomalous Aerial Phenomena (CEFAA) of the Directorate General of Civil Aeronáuitca Chile (DGAC ), Ricardo Bermudez, according to Meganoticias of Chile.

CRIDOVNI is a technical and scientific committee of the Uruguayan Air Force. Some of the members are military and others are civilian. The committee investigates every UFO phenomena observed in Uruguay and analyze the different aspects of the events identified as non conventional aerial ones.
CRIDOVNI began its activities in August, 1979. Members receive no salary and the Air Force and other institutions collaborate in the different phases of the investigation, such as collecting samples, laboratory analysis, equipment and transportation. CRIDOVNI exchanges technical information and cooperate with other groups from different sites, all over the world.
