There is something I just don't understand ...
Why is there such expensive fees for learning or having energy healing
why do we have to pay such a price for as I understand an energy exchange when money to me is not energy
besides that when we do lift up (ascend) things pop into existence in an instant without an exchange there "just is" an abundance that belongs to everyone.
I don't ask or speak from a position or uninformed view I am a Reiki Master But my heart has never been with charging clients (yet done begrudgingly)
my opinion is that the healing was going to come to them one way or another and was always rightfully going to be theirs.
In New Zealand the Maori have a tradition called a "koha" where instead of a monetary payment they give you something in appreciation,
a cake, maybe in trade for another form of healing or food, herbs etc
but the idea is taken well away from the idea of just paying to have a "job" done,
it is done in appreciation.
Am I being too idealistic to think that people heal just because they want to help???

Thank you all for the warm and reassuring comments I have been led to believe up until now that I was wrong and that it was improper to not charge an arm or a leg or literally the price of a small car to train someone to use what was already theirs to begin with, I guess most people forget that Usui was self attuned it cost him only time and devotion. In my path I have met a powerful healer that was also self attuned to Reiki but they didn't believe that they were as good because they weren't "officially" attuned by the main stream way of doing things. I will now have a few kind words with this person, once again thank you all :) love and light to all
You are correct. I am also a Reiki Master/Teacher. I do not charge for healing sessions or classes. They are free to everyone. I also work with a number of other Reiki Masters. We work together at the same sessions. The energy belongs to everyone and everyone has the ability to use it.
No! You are correct in your thinking. There IS a better way, and it's just over the horizon!

Money is not the kind of energy exchange people may think it is, as if it is a barter of somewhat equal value, that is the furthest from the truth.
Money these days, has a third party attached, those that print the money for nothing and decide how much is created and what its value may be.
So we can see, this third interloper energy, actually acts as a parasitic energy form in relation to our interactions when using money and at the same time, we are handing giving much power to this energy that has not had humanities best interest at heart, that is for sure.
If it did not have this middle man third party energy aspect, it would not be as bad, though sharing freely is the highest way to live.
