I think that relatives are SHIT! That is all I have to say.
yer, i have a blood family but also the strong bond you can have to anyone, i treat everyone the same, so when i dont get the same back, it makes me feel sad ...... this creates a problem,
also when you are caring you can fall into the wrong minds of bad folk, and been caring makes you think everyone is the same, and they are not ! I dont know anymore ........
Again, I love philosophical blogs like this...it makes you have to go within to find answers...not just look for facts lol
I think..family..is who you feel closest to. I guess technically we're all family...and technically, our blood relatives are our family. But to me...family is whoever you share a bond with. Not a romantic or sex bond lol But like, a brotherhood bond.
I'm definitely not a collectivism type of person, I don't see like...Canadians as my family lol Or things like that. I see people as individuals...race, or nationality, or language, or whatever, that comes secondary at best. I think true unity comes wen you can stop looking at things from a collective level, and start seeing people as individuals...and see yourself in that individual.
Something like racism....where just because someone is black...or part of the black race, you then judge that individual without even knowing anything about him. See, that's the danger of collectivism. Not to say there's no room for collectivism, but there has to be a balance..where first you see people as individuals...connected to a greater community. Not the other way around.
