Today, I want to share some inspiring examples of conscious leadership rising to the surface during this tumultuous time:

• During a shortage of respirator valves in Italy, a group of engineers figured out how to 3D print the essential part in order to save lives…
• A professional athlete donated money to support arena workers’ hourly income after NBA games were suspended, and a musical artist fed all front-line healthcare workers in her city…
• Business owners across the globe are putting the physical health and mental well being of their employees before the financial concerns of their companies…
• Large private and commercial events have been canceled and the food packaged and rerouted for delivery to quarantined families in need…
• Healthcare workers are coming out of retirement, or graduating medical school early, in order to serve at this time of dire need…

These are the kinds of headlines that buoy us in times of stress, but not just because they are “feel good” stories.

We also appreciate that the underlying motivation in these acts is not gain and materialism, but things that are intrinsically valuable and have a much greater impact, like service and social responsibility, community, and empowerment.

And this is why they are examples of what conscious leadership looks like.

Conscious leaders look for creative solutions rather than dwelling in fears and negatives, and their reward is a sense of service and fulfillment, along with the boomerang effect of their actions coming back to them in blessings and prosperity.

But we can’t show up this way only in times of hardship.

Right here, right now, living smack in the middle of a global health crisis, is an opportunity to make a large-scale paradigm shift.

Every person on the planet is living through this period of human evolution where we are waking up from the unconscious to the conscious.

Part of our work then, is to ensure that this planetary awakening continues long after the immediate crisis has passed us by.

In order to do that, we all need to discover and ignite the conscious leader within and inspire and empower others to do the same.
