HELP!!! How to Deal or Shield Yourself from Negative People

Hi all, I usually don't reach out for help like this but I feel like I'm in a situation where I feel very "stuck".....

 

Recently I found I am an empath, highly aware and sensitive of others energies/feelings which makes it much more harder for me in this predicament. I'm in a bad living situation with the most negative people stuck in their way of thinking. Until I can get out, how do you shield yourself from negative people, deal with negative, snide comments in the most spiritually enlightened way? Or are their any prayers people know of, chants, a way of shielding  yourself that someone can teach me? THANK YOU!!! :)

    thank you steve...thank you indigo1955:) I appreciate your genuine advice. My personality finds it hard not to take things to heart and feeling so hurt, even at the slightest, silliest comment that is meant to try to hurt me. I know that taking a step back, it is the person who actually say the hurtful things that are hurting inside themselves. Its easy to detach yourself and see it this way from people you don't see everyday but this has become a challenge for me having to experience lower vibrational feelings and pettiness everyday with people you have to live with. Sometimes I feel it gets worse. Don't wanna get wrapped in it, gotta keep a clear head! Thanks again for the reminders of what I can do. Love to you both :)

    Gracefully detach until You can tune it out.

    vibrate higher, it messes em up lol

    Headphones work well(=

    nature walks, whatever you can do to stay vibrating high.

    everyone's diffrent, choose what works for you,

    but don't attach to the drama, u'll get sucked under.

    until you feel strong enough to handle it on your own,

    ask for protection...choose what...who...works for You.

    It does work,

    sneding you love, protection and blessings,
