Loving Your Loneliness Away

There is not a precious soul who has not tasted the pain of loneliness at least once in their life.

Even with increase of great technological discoveries and improvements and the media’s never-ending supply of distractions there is a rise on less face-to-face interactions and for many dear souls, this great evolution has created even more loneliness.

With more and more devices being created with more advancements there is a greater personal and human disconnection going on. Searching through pages upon pages of web filled information is a daunting task, one that before would have had you looking through classifieds, the phone directory or seeking a trusted friend, relative, even someone of the community when despair would come knocking.

Seeing someone through a screen is not the same as seeing someone in person. There is no feel of warmth, there is not interaction or sharing of moments that has always held more warmth and comfort when it’s person-to-person.

Of course your devices and screens offer so much, but they lack human contact and everyone, once in a while requires a little tender love and care, to feel they are valued and worthy.

From all the giving and receiving you do in your own community, even if all you do is within your own immediate family is always best received when in person. Talking over the phone or through a computer is adequate when direct interaction is not possible.

But loneliness Beautiful Bright Hearts still is able to creep in causing someone to feel ostracized and once they begin to feel unappreciated or unloved, a pain that emits from the brain begins to infiltrate into other parts of the person, causing depression, anxiety, dis-ease, illness and just an overwhelming of feeling of discontent.

There are times in your life when you must be alone and being alone is not a bad thing. There are great advantages to being alone, but even the most enlightened person requires a little social stimulation occasionally, to interact with others, to be an active part of society.

You are a species that comes already made with emotions and feelings and sometimes these feelings seems to get the better of you. This is absolutely normal. Don’t beat yourself up when you find yourself feeling down or insecure suddenly.

Remember Beautiful Bright Hearts there is a reason and purpose for everything and within them all are valuable lessons that offer understanding and experience that provides you with knowledge that eventually turns into precious wisdom. It is important to keep in mind dear ones no matter how lonely you are, you are still connected to the universe and to all life.

When you feel yourself in this lonely feeling or state of mind, take this time to understand what had caused this to occur within yourself. Allow yourself to grieve if you have lost something or made some changes that were bigger than you once thought and heal through your own built-in personal power, love and heart-felt wisdom and trust in that.

Even when you walk the steps of your path alone, you are still very much connected to God and to the intricacy web of life.

It is possible to overcome loneliness. You know this Beautiful Bright Hearts as you have overcome this before. Allow yourself to connect with your inner person, instead of distracting yourself with what is going on around you, apply your attention to your thoughts, your feelings, to the why’s and how’s and allow yourself to breathe.

Don’t distract yourself from any issue or situation, that doesn’t help make things better, it doesn’t help you get to the root of your upset or sadness. It is important to love yourself enough to face the troubling issues with fierce determination and persistence.

Beautiful Bright Heart, emotions and feelings are like signals, they are like your indicator lights on your car that something is wrong, weak or in need of repair. When a strong emotion hits, allow the emotion or feeling to move through you, don’t stop it, and leave it alone.

Observe how your body, heart and mind is responding to the emotion or feeling and determine which thoughts triggered them into action and if you cry then find comfort in their cleansing abilities.

It can be discomforting observing how your Self responds to heavy emotions, but it is important to not ignore them, but at the same time to not give them reign, just let them pass and as they pass learn why they came and what they meant to show you.

Instead of reacting with hateful or harmful words, try being silent. Being silent doesn’t mean you are dismissing what has happened that caused you to feel sad, lonely or hurt. It just means you need to process without noise of the television, or of the computer, or of any hand held technical devices.

Take this time to go into prayer or meditation, or simply be in healing solitude until you are able to ensure you are present in the here and now no matter what is going on in and around your life.

Yes Beautiful Bright Hearts, being silent for some dear souls can be a frightening experience, but over time, it will become a most treasured gift to the self.

Mediation as you know is no longer something considered as being exotic; you don’t need to be a wizened Indian Sage, Master or a person of great spiritual enlightenment.

Meditation is calming and extremely healing. It helps bridge deeper connections with your inner person and with God. We see many people give up so quickly when they try to meditate, their mind wanders aimlessly on all the things they have to do, or what someone may have said or on other distractions.

This is a perfect time Beautiful Bright Hearts to learn to bring your busy mind into focus by focusing on your in breath and out breath, from the rise and fall of your chest. Loneliness doesn’t feel so lonely after you’ve spent some time meditating. Many times you feel lighter, breathier….as if a great weight has been lifted off your shoulders.

As your whole body has learned to be calm thanks to the love and care you have administered you will be able to connect with others. Be patient Beautiful Bright Hearts when you are attempting to interact with others.

Try to keep in mind it’s not the number of friends that is important, rather than the quality. Allow your heart to lead you to people that you find yourself comfortable with, people that accept you for who you are, just as you, and don’t forget to be a friend with someone, first you must be connected to your whole self and be your own friend.

If you are friends with yourself, then you already know the importance of treating your body with love, respect, gratitude and appreciation. We do not see your weight, size or even your hair colour.

We see you for the energy you emit. Only you see the weight, size and anything else and it’s your perception that causes you to react. Listen to your body, not to the mirror or to what others are saying or to what they are doing; they are not you.

Your body will send you signals; maybe signals of hunger, pain, distress, dis-ease, uneasiness, etc. It is up to you as the keeper of your body to pay attention and to feed your body with foods that nourish every cell and particle of your being, to provide yourself physical exercise even if that means walking a couple blocks instead of riding the bus the whole way.

It means choosing what is better instead of settling. Life changes cannot occur unless you make the decision to change, become informed, know what it is you want from the inside and trust what you discover. Part of being your own friend is accepting yourself along with your body.

When you love yourself, you are not just loving bits and parts, but your entire body, inside and out.

Even if you are experiencing a sad and lonely kind of day, still make it a point to be kind and courteous to those you meet, including your friends and family. They may not realize you are struggling or going through a difficult time, but they too may be dealing with something.

There will always be someone who is suffering or going through something a little worse than what your concerns are; therefore be kind, appreciate that everyone is just trying to flow their journey the best way possible.

Don’t give in to judgement or criticism, they don’t help, they in truth make matters worse. If you want to empower someone, small acts of kindness and generosity goes a lot longer than any hurtful and derogatory word that could be mumbled from your mouth.

You can service both people and animals with genuine kindness just by connecting to their divinity, to their pureness. If you allow yourself to become engulfed by the aloneness you may be feeling then your perspective Beautiful Bright Hearts becomes narrow and clouded.

If you are unsure what your next step is, then try helping others and see where it takes you. You may only get a thank you, or a smile but it is a start in the right direction.

Many dear souls that are part of your global backyard are shy and have a difficult time making strong connections with others. Taking walks along the boardwalk that is alongside a river or lake, strolling through a lovely trail or sitting on a park bench that is surrounded by trees, bushes, tall overgrown grasses, etc. has always been extremely therapeutic.

Now instead of sitting on the bench, try sitting on the grass or a pile of leaves or pine needles…connecting with nature physically helps to re-ground and inspire you to take in the landscape and see that you are not so alone, that you are deeply connected with all things.

When you truly do make friends with yourself and recognize your connectedness, then you’ll realize then no matter if you are alone without a companion you are not alone because you have you.

LOVE who you are, just as you love your friends, family and the special people in your life. Before you can truly love them, you must be able to love yourself first.

Of course being alone, all by yourself provides you with the ability to do anything you want, but being alone is also the time given to you to think without distractions, to not be stimulated by what is going around you and to truly rest all of you….it’s something like a bubble bath, but instead of cleaning your exterior body, you are providing cleaning and relaxation to your inner person.

When you feel lonely, try to remember in truth you are not. Not only do you have me, God or any other deity ready to listen to your worries and concerns, but you have yourself, the best person, friend and confidant that you could ever have.

It is okay to be vulnerable Beautiful Bright Hearts, it’s not a weakness like many would like you to believe. Opening your heart to feel connected when in a social setting, making friends with yourself and with all life provides you with depth and empathy towards all others, regardless of their walk in life.

The most beautiful people in the world are not the ones that succeed every time, it’s the ones that have faced defeat, humiliation, hurt, betrayal and anything else that is hard in life because it’s their perseverance and determination that helped see them through; they refused to quit because something inside of them encouraged them or inspired them to keep aiming, to keep trying and they did.

They may wear lines on their face, their hair may have whitened, they have lost or gained weight, but the energy they emit, their vitality is breathtaking.

It is persons, beautiful souls such as these that understand at a deep and profound level what compassion means, how it feels to be gentle, loving and sincere as they have faced and overcome their opposites.

Remember Beautiful Bright Hearts, true beautiful people are not magically created out of thin air. It is every experience met and overcome that helps to bring out your true beauty.

Don’t allow any moment of loneliness to keep you from living. You can overcome anything as you have proven this before. You are not only beautiful from all that you have endured but stronger for it, more capable, more compassionate, loving and grateful.

You are you because of all that you have climbed over and just imagine how much more you are to become.
