Human minds are rather like complex computers with finite
memory space and processing power. To function well the human computer needs
careful operation and maintenance.
As with computers, human minds have the greatest potential
when they are freshly out of the box. Babies have basic necessary functions
programmed into their hard drive. The rest of the mind is free to operate in
the present.
Pristine human minds learn with alacrity, busily storing
information about the world in their memory for use as applicable. They also
gather information outside their current ability to understand, in order that
it can be processed later.
This process of development works well until the hard drive
memory is too full. When ideas are understood or integrated they are compressed
thus taking less space. Too many unresolved memories slow down processing speed
such that many come to rely on habit rather than fresh thinking to continue
their semblance of function
Another issue is where the mind absorbs information that’s
incompatible with the factory set operating system. For example if a person is
repeatedly absorbing negative information, which contradicts the positive
program all are born with, they will find their outcomes dark and crashing.
For confused computers, technically skilled professional
assistance is often the answer. Skilled assistance can get you running well
enough to identify and ammend poor programs.
They can also help you maintain your mind to prevent
perpetuating problems.
Personal human computers need to manage the information
accessing their hard drive memory. It’s worth developing a personal firewall
that deletes absurdities before they enter, allowing them minimal influence.
The firewall will also assist in avoiding sites that offer
offal as information. It’s better to remain alone than in company of the fools
whose diseased ideas are infectious.
Finally it is important to regularly defrag the mental
jumble. There are many methods to quiet the maddening crowd in your head, the
most obvious being sleep. Another defrag behaviour is playful exercise,
preferably surrounded by nature.
Computers can do amazing things for us but to ensure they’re
reliable we need to do things for them.

@ geonic...hooray to play....just imagine being really really serious for a moment.. no really... do it :)... just for a moment....I'l do it too....did you slump and slow and frown and look down ? i did. hilarious. wouldn't want to do it for too long eh
enjoy
was about robots as a form of mechanical dynamism, not about some analogy of humans, in case anyone somehow saw that in this way. . . ?
anyhow, somtimes I feel as though I am always "guilty" of play, as the rules to me are always where the creative insightful spirit of fun is, to see, anew
aye, a computer that could rewire itself, now that would be a new computer, hmmm (being able to change its form of complete operation, for different situations, kind of transcending its own base structure for given moment to deal with what is needed, at that moment)
then it would not be prisoner to its base foundation of design, this would be even better then "robots", yea, I'v been reading too much science fiction, hehe
oh now I remember, whats that nano technology thing again, hehe
sorry hehe, don't mind me, I'm just passing pondering thoughts on what else computers can be, whether as mind/brain metaphor or not
:) its a metaphore...take what you like,,, if it does excite and leave the rest... i sugest.....
