For the sake of understanding, I often use the term "Higher Self" since it's a concept people already know. It's our True Self, who we are when we're completely unfettered by judgments, fears and ego. It's our connection to Source, total Freedom and boundless Joy. So why would I say there's no such things as a Higher Self?
Well the problem comes from the word "higher", it creates the idea that our real self is someplace above us. It creates this higher self/lower self duality and puts a gap between the two. If you say, "I want to get in touch with my Higher Self", who is the "I", the self that's saying that? Unconsciously, you're declaring that you are your lower self, otherwise known as the ego.
Now I'm not saying everyone who uses the term Higher Self is wrong, please don't take what I'm writing that way. Part of the problem with using a dualistic language is that it's very challenging (actually impossible) to properly describe Reality. I likely will continue to use the term Higher Self, but it's important to understand the subtle illusions contained within that concept.
The "Higher Self" is the real you, not higher, not someplace outside, but deep Within. This is why it's so important to peel back all the layers of the ego. It's our self-judgments, all of our limiting thoughts, trying to live up to other's standards, and our lack of self-Love that prevents our True Self from shining through. I guarantee the authentic you is beautiful, our beauty is in our uniqueness, it's the conformity of the ego and the self-loathing that comes along with it, that creates ugliness.
People talk about the Higher Self like it's some separate Being, but it's more you than the ego is. This is one of the major paradigm shifts that needs to occur if people are truly going to heal. It's not "the lower self and the Higher Self", it's "the mask of ego and the Self". That Divine Spark of Consciousness at the very Center of your Being is not there by mistake.
Stepping into your Self is not likely to happen all at once and then be done with, integration is usually a bit of a process. In fact most everyone has gone back and forth many times during their lives. Moments of true passion, joy, wonder, and intuitive flow happen when you're in touch with your authentic Divine Self. The key is awareness, awareness of when you're feeding into the ego, and awareness of when you're Being Your Self. I wish I could give you "5 Easy Steps To Being Yourself™", but I don't know how to be you, I only know how to be me. Self discovery and creation ultimately has to come from Within.

Higher or Lower...Self is within and what is higher is just more reality is there...
With the self our Ego is more attached and with The Higher self it may be just there with out any dialogue....
But Our Higher self or the real self is responsible for our progress giving us the guidance from within....

thankyou for your thoughts, I have made my self so open and discuss all these things with Source, I think humanity is actually ready to raise the bar in spirituality, I think we are past the stage of introducing a relgion but something more personal to actually embark on a personal relationship with Source one on one. Oh boy i have had my hay day trying to get a picture of this historical picture in my mind of all the gods, i feel we are them, but? It doesn't matter to me who or who i am ,, i am grateful to just be. If its necessary then God/Source will reveal it to me, I do feel i am very very old soul,,, i think like some of us who have acedemic issues like my self, is probably becuase i have been tucked away asleep somewhere for ages. I have this desire to learn to play music, sing, learn, create a solution to cure a disease, anything, but this happiness unto oneself, and being totally in love with God within me, is far the best experience i have ever had.,, I have faced failure, and every new mornings, mornings i just didnt want to raise my head, but the thing of it is,,, after so many mornings, each new morning is getting better, God is slowly working with me,, feeling his touch, and the angels, the celestial support is enough to make me cry,,, the love i feel, i feel like im coming home,, I miss my heavenly family... dream about them wanting to hold them, These are such new emotions,,, and actually its just me and God,,, I have come full circle,, I AM FREE.... I did it, I have come full cirlce and have dealt with all the baggage i have accumulated over many lifetimes.. But about the higherself,,, i feel i am my higherself, And mother Mary is my Oversoul, or Mother Nebadonia or Lady Nada..I feel the spiritual woman sister hood have been so supportive...God has also been supportive, The Impulses are a treat too.. yes there is-on several occasions I've experienced ,while sitting in a chair, my awareness at eye level and simultaneously my awareness at the ceiling above me

I've struggled a longtime to figure out what the higher self is, the soul, and all our bodies we wear.
Who am I, what are those other bodies?
As for now I consider my high-self my soul, it's the same.
This soul is who I am, immortal and a descendant of god.
The soul or high self is in the heart, and through the heart we connect to god again in our pineal gland or pituitary gland, dunno which one yet, they're right placed after each other and form a connection.
Then we have the etheric light body, visible with the pineal gland for the trained persons, and is in my understanding the 5th dimensional body, a large vessel.
Then I have the astral body, the blueprint which contains the information I radiate and receive.
And ofcourse the physical body, vessel of 3rd dimension.
This is what I figured out for myself, it's not complete yet, I feel it, and have read about more bodies..
If it's right or not, I'd just Love to share and maybe I become more streamlined this way. ;)
