Few days back my doorbell rang! I was wondering who on eart is coming this hour, it was 9:30 pm. I looked out trough the peeking hole and saw my old neighbor I used to live next door to! I opened the door and he said " Sorry for bothering you at this time a hour. I could use a little company right now. Do you mind If I come in!" I said " Sure come on in!" He came in to the kitchen where he sat on a chear while I made a cup of tea to uss! I could feel the smell of alcohol coming from him.
His story is pretty sad! His beloved wife died of epilepsy 5 years ago. The proplem in the brain causing the epilepsy was on such bad place that there was nothing they could do, they could not do surgery to fix it like they had hoped and said that she could stay at the hospital so it would not bee such a burdon for him when she was sick. He was 66 years of age after all, an old man. But he told them that he rather take care of her himselfe so she could get a worthy life with him rather than she is in hospital! She took care of her, cooking, cleaning etc so she did not have to since to much work and stress could trigger a seizure. One night when she was a sleep and got a seizure she died. The poor man was absolutely devistated. The only one that now gave him some confort in his sorrows and so he was not alone was his cat! 2 years back in Deceber 2010 his beloved cat died! Now the poor man was all alone. He took it so incredible hard that he started to drink heavily and sadly today he is pretty much an alcoholic!
We sat in the kitchen and talked, I listened to his story so he could lighten his heavy heart still mourning the loss of his beloved and the cat. I felt so pitty for him, when he started to talk about his wife he got a very sad and serious look on his face and looked like he could start to cry in eny minute... he said " I loved her so incredible much and i still love her! I know it is wrong of me taking to the bottle, but I Just couldn´t handle it, you know! He looked at me with a sad look and he said " I miss her so much, i think of her everyday!" After beeing able to talk a bit he seemd to feel a bit beter and was about to leave. He passed the bedroom and looked at it and then at me and said " Have you had eny man in here!?" I laughed and said " No, never!" He said " Why?! With the bauthy you have you could get eny man you ever want!" I was laughing and said " I am extremly picky when it comes to men. I like native americans but I am extremly picky when it comes to them as well!" He said " Well there is often native americans playing in the townsquere" I said " Actually there will bee one ocupying that side of the bed soon enough!" He laughed and said " Realy, that would bee about time" We laughed and he winked at me and then he left!
But the most amazing thing I have to say is that even if he is an alcoholic his spiritual aura was glowing of light. The whould man was glowing of light..I could clearly see this just to look at him when he sat there on the chair in the kitchen. Drinking alcohol is big time bad! So meny people that cann´t handle it and becomes a pure monster after a load of booze. Not all becomes monsters by drinking alcohol but unfortunatly most people dos in one way or a nother!"
At least I could make this old mans sorrow and burdon due to the loss of his beloved wife less heavy by taking time to listen to him when he wanted to talk....

That takes a warm heart to be able to listen to someone else for even a few minutes. May he feel lighter now and you too for doing such a kind act.
