Mantrams have great power. Modern science has proven it. With sound vibration, you can make or break. You can heal, or you can produce disease You can make somebody laugh, you can make somebody cry with your sound. You can turn a human being into an animal who will go out and fight. You can pacify a baby. You can enchant a cobra. You can get more milk from your cow with a little music. Plants grow with nice music. It's true, and it's all being proved nowadays.
So your mantra repetition is nothing different. Certain mantrams can easily cure all your problems, physical and mental. Even repeating, "OM Shanthi, OM Shanthi, OM Shanthi." Shanthi means peace, but it also h as that peaceful vibration. It's very powerful. When you fill your system with that vitality, with that health and happiness, you become contagious. Fill yourself up to the brim with health and let it overflow. Just by your mere presence, you will bring health to others. You can pass it on to others. You will constantly emit that vibration. That will be the beginning of world health. Where should it begin? Right with you.
Om Shanthi, Shanthi, Shanthi

My name, Acyutananda Das means 'servant of infallible happiness' or 'servant of one who's infallibly happy (God)'.
My spiritual master also described it as meaning that I make other people happy. =D
I try (I think).
(from Brahma Samhita)
[The spiritual place of transcendental pastimes of Krsna is portrayed in the second verse.] The superexcellent station of Krsna, which is known as Gokula, has thousands of petals and a corolla like that of a lotus sprouted from a part of His infinitary aspect, the whorl of the leaves being the actual abode of Krsna. The whorl of that transcendental lotus is the realm wherein dwells Krsna. It is a hexagonal figure, the abode of the indwelling predominated and predominating aspect of the Absolute. Like a diamond the central supporting figure of self-luminous Krsna stands as the transcendental source of all potencies. The holy name consisting of eighteen transcendental letters is manifested in a hexagonal figure with sixfold divisions.
The whorl of that eternal realm Gokula is the hexagonal abode of Krsna. Its petals are the abodes of gopis who are part and parcel of Krsna to whom they are most lovingly devoted and are similar in essence. The petals shine beautifully like so many walls. The extended leaves of that lotus are the gardenlike dhama, i.e. spiritual abode of Sri Radhika, the most beloved of Krsna.
[The surrounding external plane of Gokula is described in this verse.] There is a mysterious quadrangular place named Svetadvipa surrounding the outskirts of Gokula. Svetadvipa is divided into four parts on all sides. The abode of Vasudeva, Sankarsana, Pradyumna and Aniruddha are separately located in each of these four parts. These four divided abodes are enveloped by the fourfold human requirements such as piety, wealth, passion and liberation, as also by the four Vedas, viz., Rg, Sama, Yajur and Atharva, which deal with the mantra and which are the bases of achievements of the fourfold mundane requirements. Ten tridents are fixed in the ten directions, including the zenith and nadir. The eight directions are decorated with the eight jewels of Mahapadma, Padma, Sankha, Makara, Kacchapa, Mukunda, Kunda, and Nila. There are ten protectors [dik-palas] of the ten directions in the form of mantra. The associates of the hues of blue, yellow, red and white and the extraordinary potencies bearing the names of Vimala, etc., shine on all sides.
All of my Kriya Yoga practise and mantra's are in Sanskrit. I had a choice to practice in Bengali or Sanskrit.
I was naturally attracted to Sanskrit. The letters look like the Hebrew so called fire letters. However I feel like I have known the Sanskrit Language Fire Vibration forever and it comes naturally to me.
I have similar Meditation experiences as well, the switch to deeper levels is fast and potent.
I am looking forward to your BLOG.
My bija mantra and the 50 sounds of the chakra petals are all in Sanskrit.
I also love the Gayatri Mantra.
Thank You for sharing.
Blessings, Peace, Love & Light
AnantaAnandini(it means Infinite Joy and Bliss)The creator would like me to remember to live continously in that state.
What those your name mean?
I've been chanting and learning sanskrit vibrations for 5 years now. I must testify to their potency =)
Sanskrit words in particular have certain special potencies imbued in them designed to activate the chakras in certain patterns conducive to self-realisation. The syllables themselves have primordial potencies and meanings, while the combined syllables (words) have another meaning and effect/potency again. A very beautiful and mysterious language.
Meditation studies proved mantra meditation (chanting) brings the mind to a deeper state faster than TM.
I've had awesome experiences with the maha-mantra which I'll blog soon
