Proof Of The Effects of Elenin On The Major Earthquakes - Another One Coming Sept 27th!
By: Ari Kopel
I will be providing you the link for NASA's page where you can track Elenin in our Solar System. You will need Java to be able to view this chart. By placing the dates of the events that I will provide here, you will see for yourselves on NASA's website, where Elenin was relative the Earth and Sun and the events that happened during those alignments.
Here are the dates when Elenin began to create havoc:
Poster of the Offshore Bio-Bio, Chile Earthquake of 27 February 2010 - Magnitude 8.8
February 27, 2010
This earthquake occurred at the boundary between the Nazca and South American tectonic plates. The two plates are converging at a rate of 80 mm per year. The earthquake occurred as thrust-faulting on the interface between the two plates, with the Nazca plate moving down and landward below the South American plate.
Coastal Chile has a history of very large earthquakes. Since 1973, there have been 13 events of magnitude 7.0 or greater. The February 27 shock originated about 230 km north of the source region of the magnitude 9.5 earthquake of May, 1960 the largest instrumentally recorded earthquake in the world. This magnitude 9.5 earthquake killed 1655 people in southern Chile and unleashed a tsunami that crossed the Pacific, killing 61 people in Hawaii, Japan, and the Philippines. Approximately 870 km to the north of the February 27 earthquake is the source region of the magnitude 8.5 earthquake of November, 1922. This great quake significantly impacted central Chile, killing several hundred people and causing severe property damage. The 1922 quake generated a 9-meter local tsunami that inundated the Chile coast near the town of Coquimbo; the tsunami also crossed the Pacific, washing away boats in Hilo harbor, Hawaii. The magnitude 8.8 earthquake of February 27, 2010 ruptured the portion of the South American subduction zone separating these two massive historical earthquakes.
A large vigorous aftershock sequence can be expected from this earthquake.

Poster of the South Island, New Zealand Earthquake of 03 September 2010 - Magnitude 7.0
September 3, 2010
The September 3, 2010 South Island, New Zealand earthquake occurred as a result of strike-slip faulting within the crust of the Pacific plate, near the eastern foothills of the Southern Alps at the western edge of the Canterbury Plains. The earthquake struck approximately 50 km to the west-northwest of Christchurch, the largest population center in the region, and about 80-90 km to the south and east of the current expression of the Australia:Pacific plate boundary through the island (the Alpine and Hope Faults). The earthquake, though removed from the plate boundary itself, likely reflects right-lateral motion on one of a number of regional faults related to the overall relative motion of these plates and may be related to the overall southern propagation of the Marlborough fault system in recent geologic time.
The September 3, 2010 earthquake occurred approximately 50 km to the southeast of a M7.1, surface-rupturing event in Authur's Pass, on March 9th, 1929, which caused damage but injured no one. More recently, two earthquakes of M6.7 and M5.9 occurred in June 1994 approximately 40 km to the northwest of the 2010 event, but did not cause any known fatalities or significant damage.

Poster of the Great Tohoku Earthquake (northeast Honshu, Japan) of March 11, 2011 - Magnitude 9.0
The magnitude 9.0 Tohoku earthquake on March 11, 2011, which occurred near the northeast coast of Honshu, Japan, resulted from thrust faulting on or near the subduction zone plate boundary between the Pacific and North America plates. At the latitude of this earthquake, the Pacific plate moves approximately westwards with respect to the North America plate at a rate of 83 mm/yr, and begins its westward descent beneath Japan at the Japan Trench. Note that some authors divide this region into several microplates that together define the relative motions between the larger Pacific, North America and Eurasia plates; these include the Okhotsk and Amur microplates that are respectively part of North America and Eurasia.
The March 11 earthquake was preceded by a series of large foreshocks over the previous two days, beginning on March 9th with a M 7.2 event approximately 40 km from the epicenter of the March 11 earthquake, and continuing with another three earthquakes greater than M 6 on the same day.
The Japan Trench subduction zone has hosted nine events of magnitude 7 or greater since 1973. The largest of these, a M 7.8 earthquake approximately 260 km to the north of the March 11 epicenter, caused 3 fatalities and almost 700 injuries in December 1994. In June of 1978, a M 7.7 earthquake 35 km to the southwest of the March 11 epicenter caused 22 fatalities and over 400 injuries. Large offshore earthquakes have occurred in the same subduction zone in 1611, 1896 and 1933 that each produced devastating tsunami waves on the Sanriku coast of Pacific NE Japan. That coastline is particularly vulnerable to tsunami waves because it has many deep coastal embayments that amplify tsunami waves and cause great wave inundations. The M 7.6 subduction earthquake of 1896 created tsunami waves as high 38 m and a reported death toll of 22,000. The M 8.6 earthquake of March 2, 1933 produced tsunami waves as high as 29 m on the Sanriku coast and caused more than 3000 fatalities.
The March 11, 2011 earthquake was an infrequent catastrophe. It far surpassed other earthquakes in the southern Japan Trench of the 20th century, none of which attained M8. A predecessor may have occurred on July 13, 869, when the Sendai area was swept by a large tsunami that Japanese scientists have identified from written records and a sand sheet.
Continuing readjustments of stress and associated aftershocks are expected in the region of this earthquake. The exact location and timing of future aftershocks cannot be specified. Numbers of aftershocks will continue to be highest on and near to fault-segments on which rupture occurred at the time of the main-shock. The frequency of aftershocks will tend to decrease with elapsed time from the time of the main shock, but the general decrease of activity may be punctuated by episodes of higher aftershock activity. The risks of great earthquakes at locations far from northern Honshu are neither significantly higher nor significantly lower than before the March 11 main-shock.
NASA chart - Elenin's Alignment:
Future Alignments as of today, March 30th, 2011
Next Event: September 27th 2011
You will see that Elenin is pretty much in an alignment pattern from Sept 25th, 2011 through Sept 29th, 2011. And Look how close it is to us! Earth is the Green dot and Elenin is the Blue dot. The Sun is the Orange dot. If the Chile Earthquake, the New Zealand Earthquake and the Japan Earthquake happened when Elenin was not that close to us, what will happen with this alignment when it's in our backyard?
In danger: New Madrid Fault states (St Louis, MO, Memphis, TN), San Andreas Fault, Ring of Fire, Cascadia Subduction Zone, Indonesia, Japan, etc.
Seismic Zones in the US:
Seismic Zones Worldwide:
Ring of Fire
The large series of volcanoes (some active) encircling the Pacific Ocean are referred to as being part of the Ring of Fire, and notorious for frequent earthquakes and volcanic eruptions.
The Ring of Fire, coinciding with the edges of one of the world's main tectonic plates, (the Pacific Plate) contains over 450 volcanoes and is home to approximately 75% of the world's active volcanoes.
Nearly 90% of the world's earthquakes occur along the Ring of Fire; most recently, the devasting quakes in Chile, Japan and New Zealand.
Volcanoes and Earthquakes of note:
- Christchurch Earthquake, New Zealand
- Mount Saint Helens, Washington, USA
- Mount Pinatubo, Philippines
- Mt. Fuji, Japan
- Paricutin Volcano, Mexico
- Santiago Earthquake, Chile
- Sendai Earthquake, Japan
Cascadia Subduction Zone
The Cascadia Subduction Zone is a very long sloping fault that stretches from mid-Vancouver Island to Northern California. It separates the Juan de Fuca and North America plates. New ocean floor is being created offshore of Washington and Oregon. As more material wells up along the ocean ridge, the ocean floor is pushed toward and beneath the continent. The Cascadia Subduction Zone is where the two plates meet.
The width of the Cascadia Subduction Zone fault varies along its length, depending on the temperature of the subducted oceanic slab, which heats up as it is pushed deeper beneath the continent. As it becomes hotter and more molten it eventually loses the ability to store mechanical stress and generate earthquakes. The "locked" zone is storing up energy for an earthquake, and the "transition" zone, although somewhat plastic, could probably rupture.
HOW BIG ARE CASCADIA SUBDUCTION ZONE QUAKES?
Great Subduction Zone earthquakes are the largest earthquakes in the world, and can exceed magnitude 9.0. Earthquake size is proportional to fault area, and the Cascadia Subduction Zone is a very long sloping fault that stretches from mid-Vancouver Island to Northern California. It separates the Juan de Fuca and North America plates. Because of the very large fault area, the Cascadia Subduction Zone could produce a very large earthquake, magnitude 9.0 or greater, if rupture occurred over its whole area.
Look at how close Elenin will be to Earth on Oct 13th, 2011 and all the way through to Oct 31st 2011:
December 26th, 2012
Notice the blue dot (Elenin) aligned along the yellow axis line with the green dot (Earth) and the orange dot (The Sun).
This is the last time there will be an alignment - until the next End of a Great Cycle.
What kind of events will follow this alignment, one can only speculate....
Here is the Nasa website to track Elenin:
Please take the time to do your own research and obtain your own findings. You will find that the information presented here is accurate, according to this NASA chart and the events that have transpired.
It is also clear that one can conclude that if major Seismic events have occurred when there have been alignments with Elenin, then when these alignments happen again we will probably experience more of the same and perhaps with more intensity, as Elenin gets closer to Earth.
This is very important information that should be shared with as many individuals that you know, if you feel so inclined. At least it gives every one an opportunity to be aware of this and allows them to make whatever preparations or choices that are appropriate for them.
September 27, 2011 is the next major alignment. Please help people become aware so that there are less casualties and so that they are not in fear.
