Above picture is from youtube. A conclusion at the end is provided for the uninitiated. The best description of this relationship came from www.elle.com as follows: "When Freddie Mercury walked into the boutique where Mary Austin worked in the late '60s, she was instantly mesmerized by the musician. "He was like no one I had met before," Austin said in 2013. "He was very confident, something I have never been. We grew together." They quickly developed a shy romance, which turned into deep and complicated love. Mercury has said Austin—for whom he wrote the song "Love of my Life" — was his soulmate. The couple remained close, even after Mercury came out as gay and revealed he was dating a man. When he died of AIDS-related pneumonia in 1991, he left his palatial London home and the majority of his fortune to Austin." Freddie Mercury has a time of birth of 5:50 am; the time of birth for Mary Austin is unknown. This defines the mean time of 12:00 pm to be the time of birth assigned to Mary. This means any housing system (except concerning Freddie's chart) cannot be used. Also note the Moon, Ascendant, and Midheaven cannot be used as well due to fast speed. The conclusion is simple; aspects/angles will be paramount to use as an astrology tool with this analysis. Rules and methods in relationship astrology are as follows.
Below is the composite chart of Freddie Mercury / Mary Austin (with Mary's mean time placements plotted onto Freddie's natal placements).
Below is the same chart above, but with my notes.
Past life connections (which includes "soulmates") are implied with nodal plane connections of one horoscope to the other. This past life connection implication is strongly defined for both Mary and Freddie. This is due to both horoscope nodal planes interacting with the horoscope of the other in key ways. Mary's Sun aspects Freddie's nodal plane (very hard), and Freddie's Mars Conjunction Chiron placement forms a strong aspect to Mary's nodal plane (with slight tension. The Semi-Sextile aspect is a slight tension aspect, especially concerning the midpoint of Mars Conjunction Chiron). The packed 7th House of Freddie (with three of Mary's planets, her N. Node, and her natal Sun) may define a relationship from a past life connection with Mary's Sun in Freddie's seventh house forming a T-square with Freddie's nodal plane. The placement of big concern for Freddie is Freddie's natal Moon placement ("the woman in a man's life"). Freddie's Moon placement is within 2 degrees of an exact Square with Mary's Saturn placement. This Moon Square Saturn aspect may define "restrictions involving the women in a man's life," and this includes exclusion of women altogether (except for one with a past life connection [and possible past life issues that need to be settled in some way]). Another way to look at the Moon Square Saturn aspect is similar to the analysis of the Saturn placement of June Carter Cash with the nodal plane of Johnny Cash. The "father-figure" energy of Mary's Saturn may have added a huge (but needed) exposure of reality and responsibility for Freddie. This is very similar to June Carter's natal Saturn placement adding a huge (but needed) exposure of reality and responsibility for Johnny Cash.
Conclusion
The relationship of Freddie Mercury with Mary Austin is complicated in the sense that Freddie had a "huge restriction with women" since he was gay. But Freddie made an immediate connection with Mary Austin, and this may be due to a probable relationship each had with the other in a past life time (and possibly a romantic and loving one at that). My speculation is that artwork or service work was in the environment of the two past lives during this relationship. In addition to romance, Mary Austin may have provided needed doses of reality to Freddie Mercury (and this may have been the same case in the past lives of both). Along with romance and love.
Thanks for reading.
Love to all,
