  Delilah7777,  I can tell you that the message was transmitted far and wide across England.  Even I remembered hearing it at the time and I was in the South West of England.    Many counties picked up the signal.  If it were a hoax, they would have easily been caught because they had tracking equipment that could pinpoint the exact location of the transmission.  As they couldn't reach the spot, I guess it must have been somewhere where they could go.

  Thanks Krissy!  I too wished that the people had taken notice of that message back then, the world may not have been in the mess it is in today if they had.  I didn't understand the full scope of that message at that time, but I do now.  We have to take note of it now.

   

  People can handle this kind of stuff today.

  Hi Vangelis!  Yes, some people were scared our of their wits.   but that was a much more different time back then.  UFOs were debunked by the military as Swap gas, Venus or balled lightning!  Can't believe the public fell for that rubbish!   Venus, Swap Gas and Ball lightning doesn't land and kidnapp people or leave evidence of landing marks!

   

  I think today's people would accept it more and not panic like they did back then.  Maybe that broadcast was a kind of test to see how the humans would react.  But non-the-less, the message was a vital one.

  Thank you Delilah! From what I have learned in the last two years, the message has more relevance today than it did back then.  Not many people understood the true nature of the message until today.   Vrillon spoke of so many things that really only make sense from our understanding of what is going on now.  I believe whoever sent the message knew the truth about who was controlling our world and how they would use the wealth that we gave them against us which they have with weapons like HAARP, Chemtrails, GMOs Flouride, aspartame, etc.

  My intuition tells me this is not a hoax....In '77, I was only one year old, and I only heard this for the first time just recently, on youtube. Gave me chills, but in a good way! It's too bad people panicked and didn't even listen to the message at all. They could've made a big difference rather than trying to "catch the highjacker." I wonder what people would do if such a message was transmitted to our t.v's or radios again in this day n age...???

  ...lol.. no wonder why they dont show up again... the people, even with this not so clear broadcast, were flipped out of their shocks...

  can u imagine what will happen in they broadcast in larger scale, or if they appear formaly in the skies???

  ..we will have heart attacks, and then they will start blaming the "bad ET's", for causing havoc to the good ole law abiding citizens... :)))

  A few more facts I found on Wikipedia:

   

  The broadcast took over the sound only, leaving the video signal unaltered. At that time, the Hannington UHF transmitter was unusual in being one of the few transmitters which rebroadcast an off-air signal received from another transmitter, rather than being fed directly by a landline. As a consequence it was open to this kind of signal intrusion, as even a relatively low-powered transmission very close to the transmitter could overwhelm its reception of the intended signal, resulting in the unauthorised transmission being amplified and rebroadcast across a far wider area. The IBA stated that to carry out the hoax would take "a considerable amount of technical know-how" ^[4] and a spokesman for Southern Television confirmed that "A hoaxer jammed our transmitter in the wilds of North Hampshire by taking another transmitter very close to it."

   

  So, the BBC basically wrote it off as a Hoax, but never totally accepted that it really have could come from an intergalactic being :)....

  This is a very trippy message, it's definitely strange because they could never disprove it, to this day, they don't know anyone who has owned up to "faking" this if that was the case.
  
  Personally, it does sound logitimate to me, even though the voice had an english accent which was also strange, the way the transmission came in over live TV and the sounds in the background tell me that this could have really come from a broadcast "not from around here"....
  
  This ship would have had to have been close range to intercept the signal, but if "they" were to speak to us, it would make alot of sense to use our own transmission technology to get the message through our communications systems.
  
  Another question that makes me wonder, is why no message like this since then....
  
  Maybe they didn't think it was best to be interrupting news broadcasts, or maybe someone higher up, was like, that's not a good idea...
  
  Still those sounds in the background are SO strange, it really does sound legitimate.  :-)
