Here it is again, I am too lazy to edit it until my life is more balanced, not sorry bout it:
Savans Journal
Part 1. My childhood and Aveyond
My childhood was fraught with a difficulty of living... a lack of freedoms imposed upon by the circumstances of the small farming village i was born in. I spent most of my time labouring for my abusive father who i will attempt to illustrate more fully at a further point in time. By labouring i mean to say that i was doing my share of work on the farming land though any spare moment i was not being abused or hassled by the adults i spent either daydreaming in the fields or by the lake which was close to our house or spending time with my friend and only companion Aveyond the other child of the village who was my age and disposition.
Our time together was usually spent pretending to be adventureers or exploring the woods and lakeshore, a childhood to envy were it not for the hardness of our fathers.
As we grew we rarely left the village though we occasionally would travel to market our goods at distant towns when the traderoads were closed for one reason or another.
apart from that we were contained in the village till our late adolescent years. But as is usually the case when children, especially males come of a certain age we rebelled agianst our confinement and rose up in what we saw as a great act of defiance and liberation from our fathers though im sure they expected it sooner rather than later.
We rebelled with a lot of bluff and bother in our fathers faces now old enough to be assured of our strength in overpowering them should they try beating our new found bravado out of us and set of to fulfill our childhood dreams of becoming adventurerers though im uncertain how convinced either of us truly were of our own self reliance.
In any case I at least have made it this far in life to relate back to myself and whosoever should come to read these entries of the pertinent points of my life journey.
We set off through the forest taking a less used road and exploring all that we could. our goal was to find any sort of activity that would allow us to label ourselves adventureres before we made it to a town proper where we would begin to truly think about our direction in life
and this road we took proved exacting to our needs we hunted wild game and practiced combat against each other like we had done growing up our skill and daring in sparring improving as we matured though niether of us was a deadly fighter or possesed the heart of a cold killer at this point in our life journey. We were already passable knife fighters knives being a part of farm life and growing up we often sparred each other in combat preparing for our life as adventurers. swordplay we practiced with hardened sticks as at this point swords were restricted to kings men, memebers of the Loyal families and approved men and women. Though those who would stake thier freedoms or life upon thier sword would bear arms freely or concealed which i was to learn much about in the coming years.
We set up a living space deep in the forest yet not quite so far from the lake and the village which im sure made both of us feel quite humbled though niether entertained any notions of returning to our fathers lands. We busied ourselves in intense training for most of the time we were camping out in the forest though we also became skilled hunters and foragers as was required to survive in such a harsh and unforgiving setting as this forest.
There is no better teacher of skill and tester of a mens strength than harsh and unexpected conditions which we embraced with a deep sense of freedom and anticipation for all the payoff our lives would attain through earning things the hard way, we expected to leave the forest and find town and be swarmed with adventureres contracts and willing women and adoring peasents and common men. The depth of niaevity of my youth even now still astonishes me as our lives were to go any direction save that which we expected though mine at least has been a much more remarkable journey than poor Avyeons fate.
We stayed in this forest camp for a number of weeks then months until foraging became scarce and decent game began to avoid our part of the forest all together.
We set off approaching the autumn months aming our way back to the main trade road that linked our village through the forest though we decided to pass this main road and continue on a less travelled path as the main roads were frequented by kings men who were often likely to give trouble to travelling peoples a pair of young men being a high incident in this category and though each of us could now be considered dangerous men we dared not yet test our strengths and lives against armed and armoured kings men.
We passed over the main road and headed southwest through the forest toward the mountains eventually came to a band of travelling seers who had set up thier tents in a clearing just off the thouroughfare.
We were seeking a place to make camp ourselves as we had journeyed quite a way toward the foothills that graced the south mountain range. We were on the point of exhaustion and were attracted to the inviting glowing from thier campsite.
We came upon three bluegrey tents adorned with strange symbols in front of which we found three Seers deep in some sort of ritual chanting in low voices around thier campfire though we did not want to disturb them we found ourselves drawn into the enchanted space to sit with them as if it was the most natural thing for two strangers to do and they acted like they had expected us without changing thier rythm.
My memory of that night is very clouded though things i remember are of great pertinence to these memoirs my life.
Things i remember are of Aveyon being forced to drink some strange liquiud by two of the seers thier concern and focus on him very intense.
the other was communicating with me through some strange form of telepathy and as i write now the memory begins to clear and i can recall what it was like to be there with him peering into my mind foretelling the course of my life which he seemed greatly interested in. i shall not relate in depth what this experience was like as it was very unsettling to my young mind suffice to say Aveyon and I both passed out from mental exhaustion and awoke to a cold campfire and deserted clearing.
Part Two. Of My Meeting Draco and Maturity
The coming week Aveyon and i spent travelling toward the mountains. We had decided on this course of action as a way of seeking further adventure in the uncharted terrain to train our skills as adventurers and surviving in hostile conditions.
Our relationship toward each other had changed greatly since our night with the seers. Aveyon was especially quiet though he had always been that way it was as if he was somehow spiritually and mentally absent now. I also spent most of my time in contemplation of the night in the clearing. It opened my eyes somewhat diminishing some of my niaevity though i still fancied us somewhat immortal largely due to the things the seer foretold me of my future.
I think we were both still somewhat unsettled by the experience.
We continued making our way south west and eventually came out of the forest and into the foothills that led up to the mountains.
We passed over these in a number of days without much incident breaking up the tedium with training and the kind of talk that flows easily with long time companions.
We choose to begin our mountain adventure by moving up through a crevasse which led us up slightly higher than the foothills and rounding a large plinth of rock we turned to see a spectacular vista. Straight ahead we looked North over the foothills and flatlands which led to a great forest which swallowed most of the land until it gave way to a series of hills far off in the distance which held most of the towns which radiated westward from the great seat of power in the east which was the Kings Town. Turning right we could see all the plains that formed farming land leading to a great lake which bordered the homes we had left. turning left we watched the great mountain range marching east in a long elegant broken curve toward where they would eventually kneel before a great sea.
Aveyond and I sat there for hours gazing across all the lands we had never seen save from a peasant farmers cart. We felt like lords yet unburdened by the weight of responsibility.
Turning from our daydream we found we had discovered the entrance to a great valley which strected on for miles between two mountains.
It was mostly barren and lifeless though it appeared as if life had once thrived here.
The signs of a great battle appeared to have scarred the land breaking rock from the walls, pockets of grass, dead wood and tree stumps littering the floor.
We moved through this cursed valley noticing signs of a battle ancient bones of men and beast which seemed to concentrate around an opening in the mountainside.
I became very exited at the prospect of uncovering lost relics or perhaps treasure from another age though Aveyond was very quiet. He seemed very unnerved by this whole place though i knew he would not leave my side so we moved together through the battle remains into the defile.
Here we found the signs of a siege built up before a great cave in the mountainside whose entrance had mostly collapsed. Carefully we cleared enough rock debris away for us to move inside.
Once in we were forced to return outside to form torches from the old dead wood to be able to see in the dark which in our exitement we had not considered.
Now re equipeed we moved down a long wide dark passage from which sprouted hundreds of side entrances. We did not explore any of these until we came to a door in the side of the cavern which was entirely unlike the rest of the cavern. It was of yellow rock and engraved with a great seal of unknown characters The cavern streched on through the mountain for an unknowing length and seeing as we had not encoutered any sign of habitation or treasure this seemed the ideal place to begin our new lives as rich adventureres. exploring the seal we found no way in and so Working at the seam between the grey and yellow rock with our knives we pried the door from its place in the wall causing it to fall into the dusted floor revealing a new passage from which sunlight appeared to be emanating from some distance within.
We moved around a short curve and came to a small lighted chamber.
My kinbrother and I entered the chamber.
Unlike the rest of the ruin it was of the same dull yellow rock as the door and lighted by noons golden sunlight which poured down through a hole in its roof. In the center standing beneath this hole was an altar in which stood embedded a Great sword with a large golden hilt that held a cleaved steel blade with serrated inner edges.
There were strange symbols engraved all around the walls in the same language as found on the door seal.
"I do not like this place brother. It carries an air of ill portent"
"Dont worry Aveyond' you know my gauntlets were a gift from the Seer and didnt I tell you? Im enchanted to protect me from evil! Besides which having this sword is likely to prove enough to best any men we encounter perhaps even a Kings Man. Just look at it Aveyond!"
I Circled the altar to inspect the sword more closely. Its golden hilt was scaled like a serpents back and either side held a large gem one dull blue, one dull red
I reached out my gauntleted hand and gripped the hilt and as i did I felt all the air leave my lungs like i had been struck a blow to the stomach all my senses failing yet unable to fall i was fixed to the spot, a darkness overcoming my mind
suddenly I found myself enveloped in darkness, the sunlight gone, the chamber now lit by the golden glow of the engraved symbols on the walls.
A voice hissed in my mind.
"Thou hast wakened me mortal"
"your alive? my mind responded"
"I am not what thou would think on as being alive, yet i live"
"your speech is strange, like thing i heard in the tales of the seers"
"i was before they and will endure beyond thine and thy kin. I shall drink thier vital as in an age past, as you will wield me"
The darkness lifted and I found myself asking my friend
"did you hear that voice?"
Opening my eyes I saw I had asked these words of a dying man.
His blood was trickling slowly down the blade I had impaled him with to drip quietly on the dun sand floor.
In horrified fascination i beheld a sucking sound coming from where the blades golden hilt met my dear friends middle. As a cold sick sweat broke over me I watched as the colour drained from my kinbrothers face, obscured by his pale hair his fallen head drooping toward his chest his skin quickly turning the dull grey of the days dead.
I dropped my face, my eyes meeting the hilt of the sword. The large red gem on the side of the hilt had begun to glow.
Suddenly i felt an explosion of desire as my kins life force began flowing into me through the sucking sword
my temperature began to rise and my eyes rolled back as waves of pleasure overcame me. My skin tingling all over, my sexual centers and heart emanating an intense passionate energy my blood heating as my energy centers began to pulse in a slow steady rythm, my breathing deepening as the energy began building
The sucking sound was deepening drawing me back to the fate of my dear brother in the depths of my mind i could hear a faint wailing rising like a howling wind; i looked back to him and beheld the colour of his blond hair losing its lustre being drawn inwards, the deep blue of his eyes receeding into thier depths and with every second they faded the wailing deep inside me rose and grew in volume and ferocity.
When his eyes were and hair were colourless the dull blue gem began to glow.
a deep pain from my back caused me to throw my head back peeling my lips over my teeth in grimace and arching my back and tensing my legs lifting myself up onto my toes.
A vision took hold. I suddenly felt cold and could see in the dark spirit like the commune with the Seers and for thousands of yards in all directions I could see the souls of men standing out in a strange lighted glow.
Need and hunger overcame my spirit, Enraptured in vision i felt cold howling screaming hunger coiled within me i felt only burning desire and a need to satiate my cold hunger by slaying and draining each one of the men I could see. Each one was a spirited warrior or soul of great strength.
The vision ended with a flourish coiling back into my mind I fell to my knees pulling the blade from my friend as i would have an unworthy villain. He slumped over me and fell to the floor a bleak and lifeless corpse and as I began to break down in sorrow i became filled with warmpth and love and desire. The love i felt for my kin was banished by a need and desire to drain the mens spirits and vitality.
I groggily stood up my hand clawed around the blade. Through bleary eyes i looked at it in the sunlight that filled the chamber from the hole in its roof. I found the glow of its golden hilt beautiful, its gleaming steel fascinating.
I knew that I loved it.
In a place untouched by the glow of the sulight
the howling rose and fell within me
containing the ferocity of a pack of wolves I felt like i was being torn asunder inside.
I turned and walked from the antechamber in a daze
my vision swaying with my footsteps the blade dragging a line in the dirt behind me.
i stumbled slowly along the curving corridor that led us to this fateful chamber
my insides filled with a burning energy as if in a high fever
my vision was swaying my eyes filled with stinging tears
the voice in my mind chanting and whispering unknown language
i tried to drop the cursed blade but found my arm would not respond my hand filled with a light humming
it seemed to carry no weight and swayed slowly of its own accord moving my arm periodically siezing and thrashing to one side or another.
A poor figure of a man moved slowly across a low hill in the growing dusk dragging a large sword behind him and leaving a trail of blood.
"Those wolves smelled the blood and tracked you from the mountains. There wont be any more on our path; they met me and will keep to thier own hunting as we must keep to our path. There are men ahead where those lights dance. Can you see them? "
"My steps feel so heavy. the words tumbled listlessly my feet seem to drag the world at my heels. "Those pretty lights seem like fairys tricks. "Things slow down when your dying my father once told me. I feel like im dying. I want to go home. I miss Aveyond."
"Those wolves have drained your strength. "I drank thier warmpth and strength, It will be enough to carry you to the dancing lights"
"Home is a warm place out of this cold dark. This wind is the end of all things. I miss Aveyond. I must have died near him in that dark cavern and my spirit is lost here as my punishment for Aveyond and my naieveity. See. there are no stars in the heavens. See? I died in the cavern. See, there are no stars at all."
" There are no stars. Not yet. "You must press on. I can be cruel to those who tarry. We are nearly Home. Were in the trees now. See the trees? See the lights? They are close now. We must be careful they are men not animals. We must be careful. We must be quiet. Men are not so easy prey as small beasts though small beasts they are"
From the treeline i stared at a huge gypsy caravan made of fading redwood.
I stood at the edge of the clearing staring at the beautiful pools of colour cast by the lanterns strung across the clearing; pools of colour moving slowly back and forth over the smouldering fire.
I experienced a rush of adrenaline as the sword snapped my back straight strengthening me with pulses of energy as a swarthy fellow with a long black ponytail emerged from the caravan and began to shuffle towards the treeline his fumbling hands at his pants.
As he looked up surprised alarm painted his face. With a hiss I bared my teeth and charged him.
With a deep bellow the power coiled within me exploded out through my leg in a powerful kick to his midsection sending him sailing through the air to brake his back against the metal skirting at the base of his travelling home.
This roused the caravan and the rest of the band came pouring out. Three strong men and their wives, all dressed in a multitude of faded colours. There was fury in thier eyes and outrage on thier faces.
The red vital pulsed through me turning my body hot as a cold fear washed thorugh my mind clearing my thought.
The gypsies began to encircle me and my senses heigtened, my vision expanding in the darkness.
Thinking he was on the edge of my awareness one gypsy took his chance and dashed forward leaping as he swung his curved knife around to my face.
I coiled down like a snake and with a quick turn of my feet i exploded upwards with a powerful thrust of my arm impaling him to bounce of the hilt and fly off to crumple in the dust.
Seeing thier brother thus slain the remaining two gypsy men charged, one circling around me and the other coming right at me and kicking dust at my face he sidestepped.
I moved fluidly forward angling the blade to protect myself.
He thrust at my back from behind my right side
Lowering my stance i spun and slammed the blade into his midsection
following through with the turn I lifted and threw him grunting into his charging brother hitting him on his right side
His knife arm knocked aside i leaped into the opening to stab upwards through his midsection.
A dull pain slammed into my back and turning around with the gent impaled on my blade another dagger slammed into his back.
The enraged woman screamed at me and leaped forward.
Using my free arm i reached around and pulled the dagger from my back and hurled it back at the charging woman, embedding it in her chest and knocking her to the ground.
Sudden ecstacy overcame me as the blade began to nourish causing the gypsies upper half to loll over backwards.
Gazing over him with a drugged eyes I beheld the final two women of the entourage transfixed ashen faced staring at the transformation.
One dropped to her knees and wept. The other met my face. Reality warped around us into an elongated corridor and she was being sucked toward me.
With a wail she peeled herself away and fled into the night.
When the man was drained the blades realm encompassed me. Before me was the caravan with the glowing gypsy man slumped against its side and the woman huddled near him. Inside remained one more glowing body.
The blade whispered in my mind "See the Crone? She cowers within. We must attend her"
i stood at the curtained entry of the caravan tasting the heavy odours that wafted out.
The cold voice in my mind whispered "i may not enter yet, leave me here"
I lent it against the doorway and my mind instantly cleared. I suddenly felt clarity and focus.
I parted the curtain and crossed the threshold.
with my heightened senses i could taste the scents that flowed through the warm airs that enveloped me emanating strongest from the beds which lined the walls.
Breathing shallowly I shuffled forward across the worn rugs that covered creaking floorboards. I peered about in wide eyed fascination. Intricate tapestries covered the walls, a clutter of books and musical instruments took up the corner to my right
I shuffled deeper into the caravan stepping carefully around cushions and miscellania. I paused to look down a low table which seemed to have been the centre of activity, save the beds, from thier heady odours. A deck of Tarot cards was strewn amongst the cups, plates and other gypsy paraphenalia. I wondered if the cards couldve revealed their fate before i arrived, if they worked for such short spaces of time.
A pair of cards directly beneath me jumped out seemingly alinged admidst the disorder one was called The fool and the other was called Justice.
Staring at these cards made me feel uneasy so i turned away and moved deeper into the caravan past the remaining beds towards another low table behind which stairs descended from the rear wall to a lower level.
Suddenly a mound of rags shifted and a flash of silver leaped up at me with a hiss. In reflex i dodged to the side and kicked out with my booted heel the mound. I heard a sickening crack and then a moan as the heap collapsed in on itself. with my boot i cautiously parted the rags to reveal the crone the sword revealed to me
She was a twisted old creature. i had broken her nose with my kick.
In her hand she clutched a wooden cross
from outside the sword whispered "break the cross and break the spell that i may enter"
"I have to take that cross from you crone" I said cautiously reaching forward
with a hiss she scrambled backwards almost reaching the stair however i placed my boot on the hem of her dress arresting her progress. She spun around and bit into my boot lucily it was of leather and her teeth could not penetrate so i whipped my hand down and snatched the cross from her clawed grip. She moaned again and i stepped back.
She disappeared down into her den.
"break the cross. Break it so that i might drink her magick"
The idea of tasting the crone did not appeal to me but the swords will was bent upon me so i snapped the cross in two.
I peered around the back of the cabin admiring the tapestry on the back wall and the crones desk on which a stack of old tomes, some candles figurines and a crystal ball. I couldve explored this fascinating place for hours but the swords will was strong on me calling me back with deep slow pulses of energy concentrated on my sexual center and mind. Like a drugged beggar i turned and clumsily stumbled back through the cabin knocking aside or breaking everything in my path till i reached the curtained entryway. I slipped my hand around the curtain and instantly found the sword lovingly curling my hand around its beautiful hilt.
Sudden clarity washed away the haze in my mind. I pulled the sword through the curtain slicing it in two.
Cold night air enveloped me, stinging my eyes and face and swirling into the caravan.
as we moved towards the rear of the caravan i noticed thin tendrils of smoke rising through the floorboards
"hurry" hissed the blade in my mind
I paced to the stairs in a few strides and descended.
There at the far end of the room i could just make out the crone behind another desk quickly becoming obscured by smoke and flame.
She was burning the caravan.
Perhaps she guessed the fate that awaited her at the blades maw.
Or perhaps she did not want her legacy to be left to an intruder.
I turned from the terrible scene and fled.
The blade was silent about being outwitted showing me the strength of its mind.
A crackling chased me out of the caravan. It was either cracking wood or the crone laughing as she burned.
It sent shivers up my spine as i fled
That night i slept under a tree in the forest near but out of sight of the main road for fear that i would be discovered by the roaming kings men.
In my sleep i was approached by a dragon. He was sleek and powerful with black scales lined crimson at the hem of his underbelly. He had purple hair and gold teeth.
The blood of the gypsies has given me enough energy to break the enchantment of evil inside the blade; with its stain off my mind i will be able to commune with you better and with a clearer mind. you will find yourself less bloodthirsty and wild. Understand i am not of evil nature and you wouldve been consumed completely were i not able to preserve a part of my mind in the hope that one would find that blade. Unfortunately the ways to cleanse my spirit were by necessity as dark as the blade itself. If you will continue to assist me i shall endeavour to train your mind and body to come to the old ways that were removed from these lands by a great treachery that birthed the tyranny that rules these lands. I can sense him. it was his ancestor that orchestrated my entrapment. A band of dark magicians that betrayed my kind i was slain my mind imprisoned inside that cursed blade at the end of a terrible war.
this must have been many years ago how have you kept your sanity?
I have been in a dreamless sleep until you wakened me though you woke a monster because of the enchantment they had placed on me. i have had to keep my mind in partial awareness so as not to worsen the curse to my complete destruction. i would have been consumed by it so i had to bide in a deep corner and watch as you were ensnared and slaughtered men and women
Do not trouble your spirit for it was a powerful curse indeed you are a strong soul to have resisted being consumed. With my help you have been in partial sleep to protect your mind and spirit.
Thank you. what remains to be done now?
I know not. I shall have to find a way to break the rest of the enchantments on this land. Keep that blade. It is a powerful relic of another age. The place you found it was my home my spirit is linked to it my soul trapped in this plane where you find me before you I shall continue to influence your mind and body though the effects will be much more subtle and gradual now that i have gained some breathing room as it were.
Where would you have me go? what would you have me do?... I wanted to be an adventurer when I left my fathers house. before Aveyond died.
I know not. these lands must be very different from the time my kin roamed freely. You must know something about the layout of the realm?
I used to travel to farmers markets with my father house along the Kings roads though they are patrolled by Kings Men who prey upon travellars most folk there sure are ignorant or callous. the only learning is given in institutions and only with approval of the king which is only ever given to those of certain families.
Indeed things have changed much. Most of the magic in the land is greatly dimished i feel almost suffocated with barely enough magic for my form to press into the realm as im sure the people have been effected into this a poor reflection of a once noble place.
My father is a good example of
For a start you will infiltrate their system
then we shall turn to more important matters which will be made clearer with the passage of time
Sleep now i will wake you when it is time for us to journey on
I sauntered towards the tavern, warm light and the sound of music emanating from within.
The Black Dragon read the sign on the door as i pushed smiling to myself.
"Hey stranger no weapons allowed inside. Youll have to leave that with me behind the bar"
"If its all the same to you ill keep it on me. I never like to be unprotected"
"alright but if anything happens just know i pay skilled armed fighters to mingle in with the crowds. Just watch yourself. Theyll be watching you"
"Noted friend a flagon of good mead and a room for the night if you please."
"coming your way in a moment sir just find yourself a table."
Wth that he turned and went back to his duties.
I moved into the crowd and began to make my way towards the tables on a raised section at the back of the the main room.
The floor and tables were packed with people most moderately to extremely lacking sobriety. there were those who were stumbling around talking loudly at everyone and the other category of drunk who seemed to fall into peoples chests as they talked quietly.
A few hours later I belonged to the latter category and was slowly getting lost in the energy.
I had been idly talking to an agreeable sort of gent i found myself next to when woman i had been gazing at was now looking back at me. I made up my mind to approach her and excused myself.
She was quite beautiful. Not at all the type of peasant stock that filled the tavern.
Perhaps she had noble blood. I didnt care. I moved slowly towards her, drinking in her shapely figure. Im sure she was aware of me but was avoiding making eye contact.
As i reached her I passed my hand through her long ebony hair to the small of her back. She turned to meet my dark eyes with large expressive pools of violet with rings of indigo. She took my other arm and placed it around her waist. We began to dance slowly and gradually the crowd ceased thier conversations and we became the center of attention; every soul hypnotized by our dance as we were by each other with the music tying us all together.
Im sure the blade was weaving a spell through the crowd.
I reached a hand up to cup her pouted cheek and moved mouth towards hers. She slipped away and swayed off slowly through the crowd trailing a hand behind her. I followed her as she led me to the bar then continued to wait by the stair.
"Room" I said heavily to the barkeeper.
"Second floor, door number two on the left".
My head fuzzy I set the sword against the wall and turned to the bed
she had laid herself out with one arm above her head and was staring heavily at me.
I mounted the bed and drew myself up against her running my arm up her side to cup her underarm.
The sword began amplifying our energies as we fell into one another in the mindless passion of foreplay.
With a long moan she parted her legs and i moved between my energies building as i did until we became symetrically aligned at which point her energy centers opened and my own began pouring into her, causing her to melt and quiver beneath me.
The sword was manipulating our energies causing them to flow and swim around our bodies. When i entered her a place deep witihin her opened up and the sword began drawing her energies back through me.
Unlike when i was killing and draining people her own energies began to raise to a level near my own, pulsing and mingling with my own in the heated space between us.
As we continued it was as if time was slowing down like we were falling asleep though still consciously and moving in the act.
As time came to a complete stop i found myself in clouded realm. Looking down i saw that i was now a dragon with black scales. Looking up i saw another dragon a short distance in front of me coloured deep indigo with violet eyes. I fell instantly in love with her.
My voice worked without me thinking it.
"It has been long Sanguines, where are you now?"
"I dwell in the distant North, where men are few and peace is abundant"
"I shall find you my love but for now I have harnessed these mortals that we may be together"
"You use them like beings of less worth than they are; That has always been your folly."
I shot forward through the air with power like i had never imagined tackling the female dragon into the softness of the clouded floor.
With that i found myself back in the room Only now I was enveloped in the dragons energies as i sensed the female dragon Sanguines energies forming around my womans.
As time began to move slowly forward again our passion took on a new level of intensity as we began to come into synchronisity with the dragons.
It became like nothing i had ever imagined. Like our bodies were made of fire spinning round and entwining. It lasted for hours on end building up and rolling out on long slow waves.
Near sunrise the dragons energies receded from us and we collapsed entangled into exhausted sleep.
I woke with her stroking my face her calming eyes the first thing i saw
"what is your name"
"Savan" i said
" I am Sarah"
" Do you live in this town?"
"I did, I am an orphan, but now my place is by your side. I love you Savan"
"I walk a dangerous path. But i pledge to protect you, Sarah, I love you"
With that she fell against me and we dozed together talking quietly in the soft afternoon light.
Inside a great hall twenty or more people sat around a long table
the clamour of voices echoing quietly around the torches embedded in the walls of the halls roof
Savan and i sat near my father who was giving a long speech at the head of the table about the rumours of the realm and various instruction to his courtiers
members of his court sat at a distance equivalent to thier standing or importance
females along the left side and males alon the right a tradition started by my father which made conversation much more interesting.
My lover Savan was currently in a heated discussion with my fathers executive decisor the most important man next to my father in the Kings heirachy a man with a long ponytail who dealt with most of the beurocracy in and out of court
he sat directly next to my father who watched with mirth as Savan was berated with rules of court
It seemed they had taken an instant disliking to each other which did not surprise me as Sandarna was a hard man
"So you disagree with me again Savan; your opinion obviously showing your years of experience"
" I did not say tribute should not be paid i only meant it is hard on the farming class to give up thier liveliehood"
"You come from the farming class, is that right Savan?"
"Yes sir my father owns a small patch of land in the southwest"
"I see then due to your fine argument with my decisor and your winning of my daughters heart you will have your tax levied though it will be Sandarna's task to argue it out at the Kings court"
i watched Sandarnas face carefully as being bested in argument contradicted with the opportunity to further his position with the kings court. I knew he was cunning as a wolf and this would most likely please him as a decisor
"furthermore Savan i agree with sandarna you are to be eductaed following this nights discussion you are to go to the academy"
"the academy my lord?"
"it is a place for young men and women to be eductaed started by the third king after the reforms. Any questions you have about it you can ask tomorrow."
"I tire and formally adjurn this dinner"
"come my love we are to retire" he said taking my mothers hand and rising from the table.
As soon as i entered i could tell he was uneasy with my prescence
no doubt he was used to the fawning spoiled brats of the Loyal Families and simpering supplicants
obviously he was unused to someone carrying prescence and an air of authority
"Ahh you must be Savan" he said meeting my eyes but not looking directly into them his words seeming to slide through me to rub my back
The Duke has told me most excellent things about you Indeed painting you as some kind of modern don juan du pont but i see before me a man just as i am
Indeed that should be all that one aspires to be. I am but a humble servant of the masters of this county
Ahh talk like that will carry your goals by those though you will find me a taskmaster not so easily won I reward diligence not sycophants
Then you must have a hard time with the ilk that passes through here
Then let us go meet your fellow students. I could see i hit a nerve however he held his ground and passed through the swing door of his desk and gestured for me to pass through the archway into the mainworks of the university
he was leading me down a long corridor with doors and the occasional passageway leading off either side.
As we continued on he ran off his itinerary of inductory speeches
"In this university weh encourage students to pursue studies in the arcane lore of this land left to us in tomes of the seer peoples who were slaughtered in the dragon wars a remnant of which survive to guide the ruling nobles and king."
You will also be given the opportunity to pursue studies in the arts of alchemy and mysticism. advanced students of these arts can work with the elements to cast living spells and enchantments and the possiblilty for innovation is limited only by ones imagination.
Our extensive library and training facilities will provide for all your needs though practice outside of the academy is strictly prohibited without regulation by the oligarchy. Violation of this mandate is an extreme offence punishable by immediate expulsion and imprisonment in an imperial jail.
We shall also educate you in the combat arts with extensive theory of combat given by our teachers all of whom are seasoned veterans. You will become at least passable with the sword your progression into more complex weaponry determined by your asessed potential.
You may come and go as you please though those who choose to bunk here are provided with hot meals and entertainment served in our large dining hall.
You are not bound to any routine; group lessons are regularly scheduled and you may also choose to work with instructors individually though that is worked out between yourselves.
You should feel quite privelaged to be granted the opportunity to study in this academy Savan; few are ever granted admission. You must truly have won the favour of the duke.
Im fucking his daughter.
Ah- well... Ah... Here we have reached the dining hall. There are a few students and teachers here at them moment but im sure you will gradually get to know more of the population I shall introduce you around.
Thankyou but i prefer to get to know people myself.
Indeed. Then at least allow me to do you the honour of announcing you.
Attention everyone. You may or may not know we have been honoured with a new addition to our fine family. I give you Savan. He has declined my offer to do the introductions so i shall leave him to your graces. Excuse me now Savan i have duties to which i must attend...
With that he swept out of the room.
Descending the few steps i made my way across the floor towards a group of weathered men and women gathered around one of the large tables that rowed across the room.
One i recoignized as the man from the banquet.
An honour to see you again Savan. I had not been told you were granted admission to the academy.
The Duke insisted, what is your role here?
I am a combat teaching the students in practice
Aye but before you get that far you must learn from me the theory of battle. I care not how much you pay attention but know that what i teach may one day save your life. And god help any others whose safety you are charged with.
I acknowledged the woman with a partial nod and turned to the next man who seemed to be admiring me with light blue eyes from beneath his unkempt sandy hair.
Can you fire an arrow with as much finesse as you nailed Sarahs heart Savan? provided your abilities can muster Ill have you trained to pierce a moving rouges heart.
I took an instant liking to this man and with a sardonic smile I replied: I shall do my best to meet your standards
My answer seemed to please him and as I turned to the last member gathered around the table who had been watching me with sharp eyes since i had entered the room he said
"Thats Natalie, her personalities as deadly as the weapons she trains with"
"One day i hope to prove that to you personally Andrew"
"Come now, im sure theres more enjoyable ways to work out our differences"
"Nothing would be more enjoyable to me than seeing you choke on your words in your own blood"
"Come, Savan take a walk with me outside, these two will be going on for hours if were here to give them audience so lets remove ourselves. "Worry not about that lot" she said gesturing to the adolescents gathered around the stage."They wouldnt know thier arms from their enemies blades in a battle and good it would do them to find out; spoiled bunch that they are"
"Is that all who is taught in this place? a bunch of spoiled rich kids?"
"No. Thankfully we have quite a diverse grouping of students. Any who prove thier worth are granted admission and the number of individuals coming and going is too many for me to keep count of. That task is left to the syncophant who runs this place or likes to think he does.
"When most feel like they have learned enough from the academy they join the Kings Men or become roaming adventurers, like yourself Savan."
"Perhaps i was an adventurer" i said looking up wistfully. but now my ambitions lie within the realm proper."
"I see. Then it would pay to learn from him up front, play the Kings games, sell your morals and gain fortune and influence. It has been that way since the reforms after the kings family rose to power.
I dont plan on selling my morals and I dont play other peoples games. At least by thier rules."
"I like you Savan, so I'll remind you where you are.Your in a place run by a cunning pack of wolves. This isnt a fair world."
"I know that Julie, thats why im here; to right an injustice, im not trying to change the realm."
She seemed satisfied and we strolled through the grounds in companionable silence. My mind kept turning back to Sarah, her hold on me was strong, thinking about her was like a drug, I was considering our next encounter when Julie roused me from my thoughts.
"Your truly in love with her, arent you Savan?"
"Yes. I am"
"You two make sense. You have the same spirit of strength and freewill
However if the counts allowing you to court his daughter he's probably planning on bringing you into the pack, I would advise you to keep them at arms length whenever they come to you but remember you wont be able to dodge them forever. And until you give them an answer they have ways of trying to influence you.
Theyll try to make you learn their bastardized version of history that theyve written for themselves so dont believe a thing written after the reforms though if you want to learn truth you will have to dance to thier tune
come now youve seen the grounds and dusk is near its time for to retire inside your instructions start tomorrow so please ask someone if you need help finding the bedrooms. I'm going to the tavern.
I rose early in the morning and made my way through down the corridor towards the sound of voices coming from the hall
i saw the youth grouped together and again made my way to sit with the adults at the closer table
large plates of food sat on the table, the adults eating in relative silence compared to the raucous youth
I began to wolf down my meal, a thing learned from my poverty. drawing glances that i did not care for from the surrounding people
"You eat with the grace of a beggar Savan." said Andrew with a smile
"I know what it is to be hungry."
"Oh i dont doubt it, many a peasent goes without the Kings Ration replied Julie
slowly, But youll learn all about that in your lessons
"So Savan are you ready to bend yourself to our tasks, this is not the easiest place to excell."
"I am grateful for the opportunity and will be diligent." i said wolfing down more food.
Then as soon as you are finished meet me at the apothecary said sandarna rising from the table. You are to learn from the elders. An opportunity granted to you from the duke."
"thank you i shall see you shortly".
"Aye and after that you are to learn the art of combat from us. Eat well; you must put on weight."
We continued to fill ourselves with meat bread and mead amongst the music and interest of the morning pageantry on the stage of the hall
"after i had finished I rose to find the apothecary walking back down the corridors and down into a dungeon that had been converted to a classroom.
Sitting down on a low stool before a table i looked into the eyes of an old creature
Before me on the table were some dark stones.
Bend your will into these Savan you are to learn the art of bending intention into stones.
"It was through this art that men took thier rightful place in the land and were able to kill the dragon and prevent his rebirth, It is a high art tagught only to those approvced of by the king so learn well you will be called on in time to use them with the great spell that rules the spirit of the land. This is a great honour and you are lucky to be granted it."
"Thankyou apothecary you do me undue honour."
"It will not be easy let us thank Patreal for the chance."
Sarah came to me in the middle of the night.
"She whispered quietly in my ear."
"come Savan we must elope. I have heard my father talking about taking you to patreal. this will mean the end of the dragons plan. quickly we musdt leave tonight."
We silently slipped out of the academy and i recovered the cursed blade from where i had hidden it and we moved through the town and into to the hills
Beneath a starry sky
distant thunder rumbled, as the clouds began to darken,
i took a moment to stand in rapture of the elemental power building up in the distance
the sword i lent against a small tree i was next to,
gazing across the open field i saw rolling hills with the occasional small village or house
it never ceased to amaze me how diligent people could accomplish so much with so little assistance
i said i silent prayer for thier homes to be kept safe from the storm that seemed to be preparing to swarm across the land
the dragon beside me spoke quietly into my mind i shall go ionto that storm once it has reached capacity to contain me
it shall prove a welcome sabattical from your side Savan graced though i am with your prescence
Oh? and with what do you propose i amuse myself with whilst you are frolicking away in the yonder
Sarah slipped her hand around my waist and i knew the answer as she whispered something enticing into my ear
With amazing speed and power the dragon burst from the sword in spirit form and soared into the distant cumulous twisting and turning this way and that with careless grace and majesty an apparition sure to frighten any rube careless enough to be skygazing or perhaps inspire awe in thier hearts remind them of a distant time of thier fathers fathers
before the reforms swept through the land after the dragons were either killed or fled depriving the land of thier culture and magic
I and Sarah stood on the verge of this copsed hill overlooking the rolling hills as a bastion of those forgotten times hidden inside the hearts of the people and the land the magic flowing freely through our veins and hearts linked through our dragons to the hidden magic in the land and realms. now facing the coming storm we braced ourselves as the land quieted only a whisper of air flowing through the channels around us carrying a secret from the hearts of the people and the magic spirit of the land hope for the king to be removed and his reforms taken with him hope for the dragons
we drew closer together as the storm consumed the sky in the distance the secret from the air enkindling fire inside our hearts swirling into the air between us warming the space and weaving into the dragon spell that surrounds us adding a little more of the hidden power that hides from the kings men and the spell he weaves over the land
a line of kings men were moving across the land carrying a man in a cage on a cart lightning cracked through the air and smashed thier line to pieces scattering them like ninepins
draco laughing as the thunder rolling around the land the cart now standing alone the fate of the prisoner inside unknown
we travelled down the hills and reached the road that weaved through the hills along the path of best traverse
a kings man lay stunned upon the ground, i stepped over him and approached the cart.
the man inside was hunched over himself bedraggled and weary admisdt the filth and hay strewn on the wooden cage floor
"What be your name, Sir?" I asked jovially
One step closer and it would be the last word you hear.he growled in a low voice
Ah no wonder your in there then! With manners like those! Though you mustve been lax in your ferocity to be captured in the first! Though i know of few with the capacity to resist the Kings Men... tell me friend, do you wish to seek vengance against the whole band, not just these but the orginistaion as a whole? come by your ill fortune
they caught up with me in an addicts den, i was moving through these lands as a thief and murderer though i never took an innocents life you can be sure of that darting his dark eyes to mine moving for the first time as for where i was headed and what my goals are those answers you will find in fate which i throw myself upon as a standard in my adult life. And where are you headed with your ambitions my cultured looking friend
my destiny is an adventure of a thousand days and a thousand words. Suffice to say i endeavour to restore the dragon lineage and remove the head of the king. would you accompany me as my band brother and my friend?
Dragons? you are a rare thing to have found out about them at all in these lands though i suppose that explains the inexplicable boom that knocked all these kings men to the ground and how i was spared. I cannot pass up this change of fate and a chance for vengance against the kings men
Stepping forward i kicked the lock on the the cage door busting it inwards coming suddenly to life the man burst through the cage and landed next to me and for a moment i though he was going to leap at my throat like a ferocious animal his dark eyes burning red though he turned and leaped instead at the nearest kings man lying upon the ground reaching for his knife and drawing it out. As he reared up with the knife held high about to plunge it into the unconscious mans chest another burst of pressure knocked him sprawling unconscious to the ground.
Never killed an innocent? Perhaps. But an unconscious man? Even a Kings man? this man is dangerous Savan.
Trust the dragon Sarah if he has chosen him then he is of the lineage
though keep your blade ready and your wits sharp he is bound to be trouble until we have bound him into the dragonspell
What is his name?
He didnt say. Come lets away with him before the storm breaks.
Savan and I sat aroud the peasents table whilst the strange man recovered in his bed. the dragon was once again in his realm working magic with the energies he had absorbed from the storm.
What are we to do with this man?
Do? why should we do anything? he has freewill same as any of us and the passive effects of the dragons magic will be enough to convert him to our purpose though i feel his transformation will be smoother than my own in terms of physical circumstance though he may resent us slightly, percieving us looking down on him as the old him dies slowly to be replaced by his true dragonself i was much the same as he is when i first encountered the dragonsword little more than an animal and just as ferocious though that was caused by the enchantments upon the sword Good traits in the wild though our destiny lies in a higher way than those bestial ways and animal instincts.
We returned to our soup and with slight nostalgia i remembered the fine dining of my fathers house. Despite my love for Savan and the dragon lineage and this adventure we were on i did miss my family and the privelages of being a counts daughter. I stared down into the soup and swirled my spoon through the briney water knocking aside the tuberous vegetables absentmindedly dropping the spoon i slumped down and let the pleasent sounds of the storm carry me through the evening as Savan watched me breathing our feet occasionally meeting affectionately beneath the table.
Where are we mother?
Whats that Sarah?
Where are we? its cold and dark
Where do you think you are?
I want to go home. Im scared. who are those men? I want to go home. Wheres daddy? Mum?
Sarah, be brave. I want you to do what they tell you
Why are they dressed like that? they look like party costumes.
Why arent you answering thier questions Sarah? I asked you to be brave
I dont know how to. That tastes yucky. what are dragons mummy? mummy?
Savan? How long was I asleep? why are you looking at me like that? has that strange man moved at all?
Sarah I want you to remain very calm-
I heard all that. And I know who those men were. The prisoner was sitting up in bed his eyes shining brightly in the dark
And i know about the dragon lineage. one came to me in my sleep he told me i was of his line. His name was Reath.
The door burst open and the peasent farmer rushed in.
the kings men are on the road! A whole troop. Theyre ransacking every house! Theyre looking for the prisoner! get out of here all of you!
Erase all trace of our prescence and be diligent about it. The Kings men are thorough and merciless
thankyou for your hospitality. i will arrange for recompense and a reward through my contacts
Come friends I have passed these lands before and have the guile of a skilled thief; I have evaded Kings men before and will not be caught easily again.
Follow me!
Draco told me things whilst i dreamed, Reath said in a low voice as we darted through the gardens of the houses in this hilly hamlet showed me far off places and other times, explained i am to be part of a certain destiny because of my skills, made plain the circumstances of my life that have led me to becoming the hunted man i am today for reasons i thought known only to myself to reach this point in my life journey and encounter you two and the great dragon linked to that blade
Then you know we mean to undo Ptreal and his jackals
yes they were both part of the this place in another age and were both impacted by the end of the dragon lineage and the great Patreal betrayal
Draco and his female are both part of a great conflagration of dragons who oversaw the lands with its beasts and peoples in a time when magic was more accessible to the common man and various high forms of beast roamed the land most gone now from these lands
We have both heard of these things from my sire and are journeying now to meet with the last remaining dragon in these lands his companion she lives in solitude a few days northeast in the mountains by the eastern sea our plan is to heal the land from east to west before taking back the towns and ousting the Patreals
Then I shall accompany you for we are now bound by fate though our own particular destinies intertwine we all have different roles to play nothing in life is a fixed guarantee
That much is sure or we would not have found you in a cage surrounded by kings men!
oh yes,I was plotting a daring escape now that you mention it...
Oh? said Sarah
Yes... I planned to throttle myself as soon as they werent looking...
Quiet now spoke draco within our minds the hills are ending and we must begin to climb the mountains to reach serenity her home is the eastern watchplace for the land as mine was the west, your own sire Rast was in the south beyond the great lake
Climb now all of you the magic is better in the mountains and i hope to greet you before your new home.
We climbed the through the hills and into the mountain till we came to a forested valey in which dwealt the female dragon serenity.
She sat waiting for us with draco barely visible in spirit beside her
As we continued toward them draco raised his paw and spoke
Sit my children I will now tell you the truth of your history.
Firstly all men are the children of dragons, to us your are known as dragonkin
In the first age all things were flourishing, the dragons lived in peace with beast and man and all things flowed through each other with the dragonspell that flowed throughout the land
Firstly all men are the children of dragons, to us your are known as dragonkin
In the first age all things were flourishing, the dragons lived in peace with beast and man and all things flowed through each other with the dragonspell that flowed throughout the land
However not all things last forever and the peace of this land was undone by a single man known as patreal.
Patreal himself is of course dragonkin but he is a most lowly creature though very cunning, he was cast from his town as a young man for raping a servant and fell in with his ilk who went about as a band of criminals, he was presumed dead by his family and neighbours.
"Many fishes in the shallows today. Said Draco pawing at the stream.
But i cant help but wonder if I will be able to fill my belly in these shallow waters. I may have to go further out over the foreshore towards the depths. and it has been far too long since i have dived beneath the waves of the sea. This particular sea being one of my favourite haunting grounds in the previous age. very vast and very deep though im sure it mustve changed much since my kin left these parts taking much of the magic with them. though there should still be much life."
Lie back and practice telepathy; Savan This may take quite a while said Draco with a smile.
You will be able to contact me should you need to or should you wish to share the experience of what is like to swim like a dragon in a deep dark sea.
With that Draco leaped to the sky from his place by my side and with a beat of his mighty wings propelled himself into the distance.
Turning from his direction i sat down on the bank of the inlet to think about our current situation
there was much for us to do in these parts and I was growing quite weary of the tasks. To restore the dragon lineage we first had to remove the regime of false nobility enforced by the kings men and led by the cursed line of Patreal. A feat which i was greatly looking forward to accomplishing to account for the personal affrontages i and my kin had suffered at thier hands and wills.
I lay back and stretched out on the bank focusing my mind and centering my energy.
I let the dragonspell pour out of my mind and into the large tree behind me. My mind started to connect to it as a living thing and began to know it as a persoanl connection. Learning about how it experienced the world, what it was like to bend and how it drank the starlight.
I used my mind to turn the surrounding region into a telepathic network so that life would now thrive and over time the animals within it would become more telepathic.
Sarah was holding a lazy prescence at the back of my mind.
She appeared to be attempting some sort of ritual stirring a mortar and pestle preparing an enchantment.
You will need your focus. banish that rouge so you can concentrate my love
With a turn of her hand i found myself once again staring into the foliage above me. With a deep sigh i closed my eyes and fell into a deep sleep.
I awakened my eyesight in the dragons mind to see in low illuminated light from his mind the deep murky depths of the sea.
We are deep fathoms down and it is much darker than i remember...
I am seeking a deep magic i sensed when i began to descend. It is most likely a giant turtle. They are very old and very skilled in thier magic. This one is a high telepath and i intend to speak with him about the state of these waters and recruti him to my cause of restoring the magic in the land.
Much of the ignorance can be erased by this creature so long as he is willing to risk his life
From this sea he will be able to pour magic through its tributary system and feed the land through its rivers. It should prove much more effective than our efforts to date and will allow us to turn to the more pressing matters of the mens realm.
See him now Savan he meditates for years without moving you wont be able to converse with him but i can telepathically you would not understand his language but he is an old friend leave my mind now.
my son is a dreamer
he spends his days out in the fields walking around slowly staring at the ground or off into the distance.
I was not like that as a child i was diligent; hard working and a mischievous thief and braggart
made me into a hard man
so tell me how do you think i produced a child like that?
i know its the mother in him yet she died birthing him so tell me how do you think he became like her with none but me as an influence
there is none else in this shithole who comes close to him save that brat aveyond and hes nearly as bad.
where do these kids get thier ideas from?
with no one around them save hard working alchoholic farmers how are they so differing?
is it the land?
my land that you so humbly stalked yourself onto?
theres no magic here let me tell you this place is dry as a nuns snatch and almost as lifeless so how are these boyos so enchanted in a place that would crush any childs world?
you dont need to know and you dont need to answer anything you came here lookin for you aint gonna find and as bargain you got this lovely chat so ill say goodnight thief and may yer spirit not haunt me
with a dull thump the farmers axe thudded into the groove in the beam behind the mans head as it had countless times before
a chill breeze turned my face to look back at the workshedmade wavy by the dream which doubled as a slaughterhouse at the corner of the house square One day ill kill you old man.
I turned and fled towrds the dark treeline as i had so many other times. As i reached the treeline i stumbled over a root and fell, falling through the ground and sitting up with a start, waking from my dream.
dracos massive form was curled meters away around some small trees.
Opening one eye he percieved me breathing heavily.
"Its an effect of the Dragonspell Savan. You must come to terms with all of your emotional issues if you are to become worthy of the nobility i wish to bless you with. Do you want to talk about it?"
"No. Theres no issue really, just dreams of my father.
"Ah. I cant recall my own personally, nor remember if i ever posessed one.
come we must away to my mistresses house
my dear you must focus turn your mind from that brash young man hes got his hands full with draco though who knows what theyre up to
focus!
cant you sense them from this distance?
focus!
now as you stir those ingredients bend your will into it a potion is always helped by the practitioner bending thier will into it
how long have you and and draco been together?
worry not about us dragons my dear we have always been and will always remain good willing
right now i want you to tell me about the next ingredient for your potion tell me where to find it how long its been there and where it came from; and why youll need it if you can.
close your eyes and release your mind. allow your intuition to direct you.
Its a root in a clay vessel near the left end of the middle shelves its been there for around three months. You took it from a tree in the forest because it smelled nice and im going to use it becasue you like it She finished opening her shining eyes with a bright smile to see Serenity smiling back at her with shiny eyes
Well done my dear your telepathy is developing nicely as is our relationship
and if you concentrate and finish this soup you pair wont have to go hungry tonight for the last thing ill do is hunt for a lazy disciple.
We flowed like a slowdance back through the lands at the rate of the the turtles spell lifting the fog of ingnorane and undoing the dark magic stones whever we found them
man and beast would soon breathe new air and have thier minds and spirits restored
we journeyed together towards the south lake where reath was to take a boat to his kingdom in the south whilst draco remained with serenity to prepare for his rebirth.
once reath had departed we made our way back to the dukes house where all the pieces we to be put in place for the retaking of the realm.
creeping quietly through the night i approached the castle wall.
I moved alongside its stone edifice to approach the sewer grate.
Making as little noise as possible i lifted the grating and moved into the shallow stream that flowed under the castle providing irrigation and plumbing.
the passage yawned long and dark ahead of me smelling of damp and mildew
the wind whistling past my ear i moved inside my legs slicing through the water soundlessly.
I eventually came to where the castle wall met the sea and before me stood a large dark glowing stone that was the source of the dragonspell.
"I called to Sarah with my mind Is reath in place?"
"Yes my love let us begin to focus."
We three began to focus our mind as one calling to Draco as the energies of the land rose up at once.
With a mighty bang heard from the south the land began to shake and on a rushing wind Draco came and landed on the castle parapet and bellowed the loudest sound i had ever heard.
I suddenly flew forward over the edge of the cliff turning to see Sandarna with a cruel look on his face I fell into the sea.
Opening my eyes I saw Sarah and reaths faces over me, I felt great despite nearly dying.
"The turtle saved you Savan, be grateful he does not lend his shell to any mortal, he had came to witness the new dragonspell.
Where is Patreal?.
"I ate him, and a decent meal he was, said Draco amused clawing his teeth."
"We are to wed my love, The new turtlespell is weved through the land and the people are responding. We have won.
"She flew into my arms and kissed me overjoyed we began to dance as we turned to take our seats and begin life anew as King and Queen.
