The revelation is simple, and it reflects something languages do all around the world. There is no my, there is no your, there is no our, and there is no their; we as a species no matter how powerful (or how powerful we think we are) we do not own anything anywhere. When we put thoughts into words we subliminally do something else, and all goes back the that lovely verb "to be"
There is no my gold or your gold, and there is no my land or your land, but there is gold and there is land, that does not mean that anything owns it, nor should anyone think of this as a reason to seize something one does not own, because nothing is ours to own, there is no obligation nor entitlement to owning anything. A piece of paper, some money, and permission of an artificial government does not give one the right to prance around the world claiming things, and any belief otherwise is ridiculous, who gave us the right to claim anything? Sure the squirrels may not comprehend that you are taking away the tree that family of squirrels uses for shelter (but is not necessarily the possession of that squirrel nor its family), but you are no more entitled to that tree then that squirrel is, the squirrel is not taking the tree, nor is it interfering, it is simply using it for shelter. Cutting down trees for a cabin is barbaric, because it means that we think that any tree in the forest is ours to take since nothing already owns it (but nor do we!). Cutting down trees to make neighborhoods is also barbaric, since that land was not interfering with anyone and was not ours to claim as our own to destroy for our own personal and financial gain.
