My children, you have a grand opportunity to practice what has been called "erasing personal history," which is essentially transcending the ego's self-identity.
You do not need to leave your loved ones in order to make a fresh start. Some are inspired by their Higher Selves to do so, while others aren't, but in either case the first action to take is always one of making a positive inner shift in perception, for this is actually how you make a fresh start. You, reader, are indeed already upon this path of transcending your past.
However, in order to master this it is indeed required that you know when to "get away" at the most appropriate times, such as when you may be inspired to meditate, use creative visualization, go on a peaceful walk in a park, or even go on a vacation, a getaway, to help you refresh your mind and self-perception.
Indeed, sometimes you are inspired to make such plans while co-creating with others, such as a family trip, but in all cases you still have an opportunity to "erase personal history" through accepting your present point of power (the Eternal Now) as your most immediate and important concern. Remember, the power of NOW is your only True Power.
You may trancend your personal history, as the wise shamanic teacher don Juan Matus taught his student, Carlos Castaneda, simply through being more attentive to the Life Force within you.
Many of you feel that it takes extreme measures to overcome your past; this is not so. It actually takes cultivating an attitude of enjoying the journey of your life, letting go of grievances that bind you to the past.
Indeed, there are many wonderful memories of past experiences that you have stored in your subconscious memory banks, and sometimes it is very empowering to re-live such things if inspired to do so, yet the greater Self-empowerment comes through bravely seeking out those darkened areas of your consciousness that most need the Love and Light of your Higher Self.
These are those areas of your mind that need your self-forgiveness in order for you to feel a greater sense of liberation from fear. This is actually what don Juan was teaching Carlos, which was the realization of his True Self.
It is important to understand that most humans judge themselves/others based upon their perceptions of the "past." This is a very dangerous perception, for it blindly assumes that "you are what you do."
Even in most encounters with meeting new people, it is still very common for one or the other to quickly ask, "So what is it that you do?"
This is because most humans are heavily concerned with "the past." In fact, most of your human perception in general is colored through a dense obsession with "the past."
Remember, My children, that "the past" is but a label, a "convenience" that you have created on a soul level to experience your human reality. One of the ego's tricks is to pretend that it is focused on the NOW through inquiring, "What is it that you do?" What the ego REALLY asks is, "What have you DONE?"
Because the ego actually cannot see past "the past," unless it is the "super-ego" known as the Higher Self. As your Higher Self trains your mind to see beyond superficiality, you gain a new awareness of what is TRULY important in your life: your Undifferentiated "I AM."
In stark contrast to what the ego perceives is important, the enlightened mind is much more concerned with "How are you FEELING?"
This is why "high-level" entities such as Abraham and Bashar are very much interested in your PERCEPTIONS, your self-perception and predominant attitude and beliefs, for this is what TRULY MATTERS in terms of how your physical reality experience always reflects your attitude about yourself.
How you FEEL is the greatest emphasis in their teachings, and wisely so. In your human experience you cannot escape the cause/effect relationship between what you FEEL and what you manifest.
This is certain. However, in a Self-empowered sense you CAN "escape" (transcend) the ego's enslavement to cause/effect, linear, dualistic perception, perceiving beyond this relationship into the Eternal Now, while simultaneously flowing gracefully with your human experience.
This, My children, is what transcending your personal history is all about: forgiving the illusion you call "time."
