Donald J. Trump for President, Inc., the Republican National Committee (RNC), and their authorized joint fundraising committees today announced that combined they raised over $266 million in the record-setting second quarter of 2020. In June alone, the Trump and RNC committees raised a record $131 million. The massive amount raised in June eclipses the total raised in any single month of 2016.
The staggering second quarter haul is over $111 million more than the first quarter of 2020, a 71 percent increase, highlighting the incredible enthusiasm Americans have for President Trump and Republicans across the country. In June, the Trump campaign, RNC, and joint committees took in an average of $4.3 million per day, driven by a record setting single day online figure of $14 million on the President’s birthday.
The joint Trump re-election effort continues to be in an incredibly strong financial position, with over $947 million raised over the past two years, and over $295 million cash on hand, dwarfing that of Joe Biden and the Democrats, continuing to increase a vast cash-on-hand advantage.
The massive second quarter haul is especially notable as it was largely fueled by the robust digital, mail and online donor base amassed, as President Trump only held two fundraising events in the second quarter. This speaks to the strength, breadth and depth of support for President Trump by Republicans, whereas in contrast, Joe Biden is personally holding fundraising events constantly, and still can’t coalesce voters and donors to his cause.
“The Trump campaign’s monumental June fundraising haul proves that people are voting with their wallets and that enthusiasm behind President Trump’s re-election is only growing,” said Trump 2020 Campaign Manager Brad Parscale. “No one is excited about Joe Biden, which is why he has to rely so heavily on surrogates like Barack Obama and radical Hollywood elites. In stark contrast, President Trump is tapping into support from real Americans all across the country who have reaped the benefits of his America First agenda.”
“After yet another haul of record-breaking support, the voters are speaking loud and clear – they support President Trump,” said RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel. “As Joe Biden remains hidden in his basement, President Trump is leading this country to a Great American Comeback that will reignite our economy, restore law and order, and usher in a new era of strength.”
“The enthusiasm for President Trump's re-election continues to be reflected by the campaign's historic fundraising hauls,” said Kimberly Guilfoyle, National Chair of the Trump Victory Finance Committee. “Over the past three months, Trump Victory Finance Committee, in concert with the Republican National Committee, spearheaded an innovative approach to digital fundraising that allowed the campaign to continue engaging donors and bundlers in a way never before seen in politics.”
Thanks to this continued enthusiasm and support, the Trump campaign and RNC are investing unprecedented sums into powering the largest field program and data operation in Party history which boasts over 1.3 million volunteers trained and activated and has made over 50 million voter contacts.
The RNC recently announced the hiring of an additional 300 field staffers, bringing the total Trump Victory operation in target states to over 1,100, nearly double that of the Biden operation. The joint field effort continues to safely resume field operations in battleground states across the country while the Biden campaign sits idle, missing out on crucial voter contacts at a critical juncture of the campaign.
