UNIVERSAL LAWS –
The Law Of Balance
THE LAW OF BALANCE (ALSO KNOWN AS THE LAW OF GENDER)
We live in a reality of duality meaning, we live in a world of opposites: positive and negative, yin and yang, masculine and feminine.
The law of gender is found throughout creation. For example, it’s in human beings, plants, and magnetic poles.
This could also be considered The Law Of Opposites: love & hate, white & black, night & day, hot & cold. Hermetic teachings tell us that these are different degrees of the same thing. For example, hot and cold are merely different degrees of temperature.
Practical Practices to Align with the Law of Balance and the Law of Gender
Both masculine and feminine energies exist in all of us; however, one or the other tends to be more pronounced in most of us. To be a healthy, happy, balanced human being it is important to equalize and balance our masculine and feminine energies – to embrace both our feminine and masculine characteristics.
Feminine qualities such as love, patience, compassion, and intuition can be embraced by a masculine person for balance.
The masculine qualities of self-reliance, action-oriented, intellect, and logic can be embraced by a feminine person for balance.
One of my favorite ways to align with this law is something I learned from Hermetic teachings.
I’ll share an example of how I’ve used this application. In Hermetic teachings, this is known as The Law Of Polarity, which states that everything has an opposite. For example, the opposite of fear is courage.
I was scheduled to be the speaker for a spiritual group. Now, public speaking is not new to me; however, I normally use a PowerPoint presentation to keep me focused and provide a visual for the participants.
In this case, I was not going to use a PowerPoint presentation, just notes. Well, I was a little apprehensive so I employed the Hermetic practice of going to the opposite end of the spectrum. I was somewhat apprehensive but not fearful, so every time I envisioned myself speaking in front of the group, or thought about it, I brought forth the feeling of confidence. I also brought forth that feeling before and during my talk. It worked great!
If you feel anxious or apprehensive, just bring forth the feeling of confidence or courage.
When we’re feeling hateful we can move toward love.
When we’re feeling lack we can move toward the feeling of abundance or prosperity.
When we’re feeling unhealthy we can move toward feeling healthy.
When we want to increase the intensity of the feeling all we have to do is imagine we are turning a dial, just like the volume on an old radio, with the intention of increasing the feeling. It works!
Be joyful, embrace life, and thrive!
With love,
Randall Monk
