Simple conclusions (for the uninitiated) based on the two Uranian Astrology midpoint trees presented are provided following the Uranian Astrology analysis. Knowledge of Uranian Astrology is required to understand the approach to this type of analysis applied to this earthquake event. This is a "world event" since a part of the physical world shifted. Thus, the Aries Point is a consideration. The "environment of the event" also gets consideration, and thus the Ascendant is another consideration. Finally, the midpoint of Uranus/Admetos will be a consideration since this midpoint is strongly associated with "earthquakes" and "shocking events." Let's start with the Ascendant (As):

Conclusion:
"The environment of the event featured a world event due to a shocking display of force. An earthquake (or 'shocking event') was in this environment and was due to forces from far and wide."
Now let's look at the Aries Point. The Aries Point usually indicates "important world event," and thus can represent forces affecting the planet in some way (and please note: the source of these forces affecting the planet may be from nature, man, or both. Man now knows how to manipulate weather with certain technology, and man also knows how to use certain weapons [such as particle beams] to affect open terrain areas on the planet that are susceptible to earthquakes or wild fires).

Conclusion:
"This world event was a tragedy that involved a shocking display of force. The force was one of nature, and it concerned either an earthquake or things getting ripped apart (or both)."
The Ascendant and Aries Point were within 1/2 of a degree (or 30' minutes) of each other, but due to accurate time reporting of this event I have to stick with the 07' minute rule and treat the Ascendant and Aries Point as two separate considerations that are not equal to each other. The two key midpoints to this earthquake event were Uranus/Admetos amd Uranus/Vulcanus; the first midpoint refers directly to "earthquakes" and the second midpoint refers directly to "shocking display of power or force." Both of these midpoints were prominent with analysis of both the Ascendant and the Aries Point of this earthquake event.
