Recently, there has been a surge of those interested in meditation music and other tools that can more quickly effect meditative states. One of these items is a flotation tank that I will discuss later. Another is meditative music that incorporates brainwave entrainment.
Brainwave entrainment is a method by which your brainwaves can be altered to mimic certain states known only to experienced meditators. This can be accomplished by binaural beats and other methods such as isochronic tones, audiovisual stimuli, and others. This works by providing the brain with a rhythmic stimulus and I have personally used the technology for a number of years with good results.
I have found that while using brainwave entrainment, I can sleep better, I meditate deeper, and my mind becomes clearer. Wikipedia has a good amount of information on brainwave entrainment. There are some who may label it pseudoscience and fakery, but these loud skeptic mouths should be ignored, because it does work. Most of these skeptics are narcissists or internet "trolls" taking pleasure only from discrediting others. Most of these skeptics have no real discoveries themselves. However, there are many who capitalize on this new concept.
Has anyone else tried brainwave entrainment? what are your thoughts?
