I thoroughly enjoyed this conference. I learned among other things that the Apache were the direct descendants of the guides this gentleman talks about and interestingly the maternal side of my family is Apache. Sadly, the Apache are not very respected among other Native American tribes and my white father hated them so much so that we were not allowed to admit to or talk about our NA history in his home. My mother was not even allowed to cook their fry bread. My mother was very proud to be Apache and instilled that in her children. The last great Apache chief, Geronimo who we are directly decscended from was said to be magic...bullets could not kill him, he left no foot prints and he could control the weather...too bad he could not prevent American soldiers from annihilating most of his tribe.
