Occasionally I stumble
across a cosmic crossroads,
existence shows me something
that changes all direction.
Giving my soul a wake-up call
from some part of the universe,
working through some other part,
showing so much love.
I find some extraordinary
piece of self expression
that reminds me of the truth
of who I always was.
I meet a blinding
and special person,
one who reflects
original beauty
that I was always looking for.
One who seems to know,
already,
everything I am
and was.
One who's face I saw
in dreams,
searched for
through the crowds.
One who emanates
something
I once felt
in heaven's embrace.
But,
of course,
I know some truth:
That Spirit will speak
however it pleases.
And,
of course,
I've learned this miracle
is usually
Spirit speaking.
And,
of course,
I'm a human man,
although the infinite divine,
like all.
But,
when I'm lucky,
as fools often are,
I can hear Spirit whisper,
I can see the shadow of Her face,
I can appreciate the incredible gift
without becoming attached.
