Such ideas as "enemies" are imagined through ignorance of the love within you. It is delusional thinking that produces nightmares, and anything that you have a resistant attitude toward is practically a "nightmare" that you are holding onto in an attempt to make yourself appear strong.
In a world where there is collectively more talk of "support 'our' troops" than "support ALL through feeling love toward all," it is no surprise to the wise that even most of those who claim to be "spiritual" still struggle with delusional fantasies of "enemies."
To truly be an adult, one must learn to let go of childish toys. The belief in an "enemy" is one such childish toy. Even your ego is not your enemy, for it serves its purpose as a learning device in human experience.
The only "enemy" there is (and even this is a delusion and illusion) is one's own fear-based thinking. When you learn to forgive yourself for creating your own fear, you step into your Truth and Authenticity, and in this awakening you realize that what is Divinely True for you is Divinely True for ALL, no matter if those around you have awakened to this realization for themselves or not.
It is those who still dream of enemies that are causing the most harm in your world, My children. Forgive them through forgiving yourself, and you accomplish this through discovering and practicing true forgiveness.
True forgiveness is simply perceiving clearly. It is perceiving the Light in yourself, thus perceiving it in your brothers and sisters. It is not the "forgiveness" that your society teaches you, although even this has its place, because there are indeed benefits in practicing it for those who believe in such nonsense as enemies. Therefore, true forgiveness is currently not something that most humans are ready to accept, although this is changing and increasingly so.
Most "forgiveness" that you practice entails a false premise that the thing that must be forgiven "really happened," when in absolute fact it did not! True forgiveness may be seen as the next logical step following the "societal forgiveness" that your world is most familiar with, for once you begin to feel better about what apparently happened, if you choose to ride that wave of well-being, you will inevitably begin to feel as if the "transgression" doesn't really matter--and it doesn't!
Whatever happened "then" is not a true determiner of NOW. As long as you feel bent toward *anything* in your world, you are merely beating a dead horse, so to speak, and stalling your inevitable relief from suffering.
You possess no enemy, My children, and the quicker you realize this for yourselves the more genuinely happy you will be. Self-forgiveness is self-appreciation; it is self-love, and it is the highest attitude you may possess, for it follows the law of "One for all and all for One."
If you TRULY love one (yourself), then this obviously means that you love all, because you cannot accept love for yourself and simultaneously deny it to another! Yet in your world you are largely taught that this is possible, that somehow you may reserve love and respect for "this one" and not for "that one."
No one needs to "earn" your respect, and if you insist that one needs to earn it, that person would be very wise to turn the other cheek and walk away from you, for your so-called "love" and "respect" is not worth earning! Learn to be original, like your Source is Original, for there is no originality in that oft-repeated belief of "earning" love and respect.
This is why so many of you hold onto negative beliefs regarding "enemies," because you choose against your True Nature, which sees all as One. You even believe that you have separate countries and separate races, forgetting that Universal Consciousness Itself is the True Country that you all share and live within, and that creation itself is the only "race" that is manifest.
In regards to "practicing forgiveness," understand that you cannot possibly avoid PRACTICING anything while having a human experience (and even when you depart your current world, you will be practicing in the next). You always practicing something, without exception, and quite simply you may say that you are soul-consciousness PRACTICING BEING HUMAN.
For those of you who are very much into non-duality teachings and practices, understand that you are lying to yourself if you maintain that human "liberation" or "enlightenment" means that your state of BE-ING doesn't include practicing. Spiritually-speaking, being and practicing are essentially one and the same.
Give your love freely and openly. This doesn't mean physically hugging everyone you pass on the street, but it does mean PSYCHICALLY, mentally and emotionally giving yourself to all, and this is not really difficult, as most of you tend to believe. For again, the law of "One for all and all for One."
(Everything "begins" and "ends" with Oneness, the One, never really leaving It.) So, by simply finding something to be joyous about--something to appreciate--you are at the same time giving the fullness of that particular expression of joy, of love, as you radiate it in equal measure to all.
To the exact same degree that you give to one (oneself/yourself), which simply means how much love and well-being you are ACCEPTING and ALLOWING for yourself, the same exact measure or quality of expression is simultaneously given to all of creation.
Jesus never taught, "Forgive your enemies," for he didn't even believe in this nonsense of enemies. He DID teach, however, to forgive those with whom you may BELIEVE are your enemies, learning instead to see them as your brother and sister. There is a major difference here.
The true Wise One (your "Higher Self") is not concerned with delusions of "us against them," but rather with the feeling-sense of Oneness. As long as you admit an "enemy," deeply believing that you have one (or some, or many) then you are admitting self-defeat, plain and simple, even if you wear a mask of false confidence to the world.
Your true human legacy is one of awakening to your friendly nature, perceiving holy friendship and family with all beings in creation. To give an extreme example, this doesn't, of course, mean baking a cake for someone who aspires to suicide bomb a busload of people (but even this may be an appropriate act, if one were genuinely inspired by the Holy Spirit to do so), but at its most rudimentary level it does mean having a true willingness to remember the Truth of Oneness.
Blessings and thank you for sharing in this transmission of Light. Amen.
